well, Aphex opening for Portishead, ill travel anywhere for that one... I was seriously anti-Portishead before i actually heard their stuff... the live show being the 1st time i actually heard an entire song...and the entire set was perfect and mindblowing... I loved every second of it..... especially Machine Gun and We Carry On. Now, i find myself listening to it more often, and loving it even more...
    Upcoming Shows:
    Kasabian/Bo Ningen: 10/1 @ Metro
Coachella: 4/10-12 @ Empire Polo Fields

I used to think Flaming Lips was the best performance because I got to see it from the stage (I was a dancing monkey). But the most memorable was the first Elbow gig I went to at which I cried my eyes out and then seeing Fleet Foxes support Elbow at a different gig. Their harmonies just blew me away.

Yeah, Portishead was pretty awesome at Coachella 2008. I fell asleep lying back on the grass and looking at the stars while they played. I don't think it would be as good anywhere else, though.

Yeah - Elbow are notorious for making girls cry. It was the first time I'd heard and/or seen them and they opened with Station Approach. I bawled.

I'm assuming you're talking about the lady who sang Angel and not Sheila E. Her name is Ledisi

since this thread has been somewhat hijacked ... since there is no more wakarusa, this might be the fest that will replace it .... we have never gone before so next year would be the first if we do .. x****

That's such an awesome festival. I went in 06. I highly suggest you go. You'll have a great time. It's better than Wakarusa, as far as the fest itself is concerned. Waka usually has the better lineup though. I wish I could have gone to 10K last year to see Phil, Flips, and P Funk.

I cried when I saw Harmonia and Michael Rother played the guitar. It was a spiritual moment for me.

I've been on a major binge of this song today, but this, horrible video quality and all, is a beast of a performance, and I love the crowd reaction. Hot holy fuck....

Mclusky - To Hell With Good Intentions, live on some Welsh kids tv show.

That festival looks awesome! And yes, Hope There's Someone is incredible. I'm on a huge Antony and the Johnsons kick right now.
