I say it a lot, generally, so if a SO gets in the way, so be it. I mean, so long as they understand I'm not serious, if I though they'd take offence, nah.
He's sleeping through the debate anyway. He probably rather sleep in this case since he works overnight.
Oh damn, I forgot I'm driving home for most of the debate anyway so I'll just hear it on NPR. Can't do much of anything in the car. Can't even be like most people and drink alcohol.

i figured it was jokingly, i just never do that. jokingly or seriously.
I don't think Americans really do the whole affectionate swearing thing that we do, to the same extent certainly. Although we're still not the UK, yeah, I guess we do swear a lot more than you guys generally. That word is considered far more offensive by Americans than us, and we would reel it in a bit when we have American chums around.
That said, it's still by far the most offensive word available, and not something you'd drop during a job interview or whatever, I know people I'd saying anything but that around. Which I find quite frustrating - either don't get offended by swearing or do. The particular kid-gloves associated with that word always strikes me as some weird 19th century holdover, adopted to protect the nerves of the ladyfolk lest they start swooning en-masse.
I know you're not technically in the UK, but I haven't really seen many Irish movies.

well, aren't we the country that started the whole "mah bitches" shit? i think cunt just tends to be more offensive for some reason here. i personally think it's hilarious when anyone is angry enough to call me that.
and amy, no wonder he beats you
kidding, as i don't even know why people make that joke in the first place
The only Irish movie I can really recommend would be Intermission with Colin Farrell. It's easy for me to start hating on Farrell for Miami Vice, but he's brilliant in it.

Yeah, but I haven't seen it.
Fun fact: A lot of my friends are dead all over the beach in Saving Private Ryan.
They were extras, marooko. Not really dead, right?

LOVE that movie.
"I'm black, and I'm proud"
Also fun fact - a friend of a friend cost Saving Private Ryan several thousand pounds and a few days worth of filming, by being caught on camera steering a lander in a modern day sailing jacket. A flourescent, reflective orange sailing jacket.
Anyway, so somebody gather up the drinking game rules already, we've got work to do.
