The Killers' New Album "Day & Age"

At the risk of getting a lot of shit... as I used to give people who liked The Killers I am starting a thread about the new album. For a long time I hated them too (just like Coldplay), but I think playing "When You Were Young" in Rock Band ingrained them into my head and now I like them... especially a lot of Hot Fuss. I am also now going to see them at the Warfield on 10/21 so have been listening to them a lot recently, but from what I have heard, even people who don't like them and see them live say they put on a great show.

The have a new album coming out in November and could possibly play Coachella so deal with it...

they could absolutely play at night on the outdoor, or in the mojave, or around 4 PM on the main stage.

they are simply not important enough to headline.

The only time i saw them they were headlining not so silent night. My opinion of thecshow is gonna be biased becasue i had my mouth wired shut 2 days before that show and my jaw was broken. by the time they came on my viccadin had worn off and i hated them so much live. branden flowers pissed me off.
on a better note i would like to give them another chance if no conflicts were happening.

the white stripes have released six albums. the first one in 1999.
the killers have released two. the first one in 2004.
if brandon flowers seriously thinks hes better and bigger then the white stripes then i take back all the statements i said about giving them another chance.

I don't like them either but they are a big draw in Southern California. They sold out Staples Center last time they were here. If they play they headline like friday or sunday.

They declined to headline Glastonbury a few years back when they were even offered it. Don't really see how that makes them egotistical assholes.... Also don't see what's so amazing about them, either. Brandon Flowers sounds to be tone deaf every performance I've ever watched...

That's a retarded comparison. And, Prince charted with his singles at very least in the R&B charts, but I think in the pop charts as well.

The Killers could headline, methinks. They're one of very few contemporary acts who could. And, I'd watch some of it at least.

like, what are these people on? the killers HEADLINING COACHELLA?!! the killers are not more important in the world of rock than say, interpol, sonic youth, stars, or the raconteurs, and none of those people have headlined coachella. the only comparable individual in terms of demographic appeal was jack johnson. jack johnson was an obvious anomaly on the festival circuit last year- there was some kind of deal his people had made. I 100% guarantee it- he'd never have been a headliner without some serious sway, financial or otherwise. the most damning evidence in that situation was the smallest crowd I've ever seen at night around the main stage.

the killers aren't headlining, and trolls need to stop picking disingenuous little bullshit fights with me, making shit up and throwing around baseless accusations, because, unlike them, my reading comprehension is just fine and dandy, and I'm capable of dissecting their shit.
