The 3rd LA Weekly Detour festival was great. i once again had the privlidge to take pictures from a variety of places. Typical highs and lows from the picture taking perspective. i still need to upload a whole shitload, but in the meantime, part 1:

Rain predicted, but only a mist was produced. The mist felt nice.




Check out the military copter in the sky. That was the last of a few.






i forgot the name of this band who was playing before any scheduled acts. They were pretty good. edit- The band's name is Funeral Party. Thanks Kevin.

We got there at 6ish and the security seemed pretty lax to me. They looked at my friends' purse but pretty much let me go right through, no pat down, no wand. And inside was pretty chill too.

i sure hope not. i love Detour. It's a wonderful block party (pardon the 2nd year pun) that LA needs as far as i'm concerned. Good vibes, cool bands and djs, neat location...if you are living in the area and don't check it out, you are missing out. Here's to Detour 2009.
