Why isn't coachella 2009 the last weekend of april?

I really quite angry that I can't go to coachella this year because my exams aren't finished yet and they usually finish right before coachella (last weekend of april). Does anyone know why they are breaking tradition this year?

They need to look into changing the date, they basically screw over Canadian post secondary students, way to put the even right during finals.

Your logistics regarding the other festivals are not well thought out, why would they segregate students and make the festivals dates as inconvenient as possible, because that's what they've done.

for the record, canadian undergraduate exams begin on the 17th.

you might have to miss friday, on the off chance that you have an exam on day one, but if you fly out sunday night you can still go.
it sucks, but come on, dude. I'm sorry, but I fully accept that they don't give a rat's ass about canadian college kids. I'd say that's 5-10 thousand tickets, MAYBE. they can make it up elsewhere. especially if somehow the cooler spring weather holds.
