Animal Collective Mysteriously Announce New Album?

Oh yeah... The January dates are anybody's guess because it's a mini-tour and juszt a couple dates... I was mainly talking about the spring tour...

Like I said before, anybody's guess.

As far as a spring tour goes, I bet they already have more new songs seeing as how they played the HELL out of all MPP live. Next time they have a decently sized tour, it will surely be mostly new. But it could take a while. Maybe summer or fall. We'll see what Panda's got going though.
I'm thinking Panda Bear's album will come out next summer. Here's hoping!

I would KILL for some Feels songs... but I know that will likely never happen in my lifetime. As for any other oldies, I really need me some WCWAR, but more importantly, I need Chocolate Girl! I know I've already seen it but once was not enough. My mind was totally blow and I didn't even know it at the time. I need to relive that madness in LA!

I went to the pre-feels tour, so I heard lots of those songs live. I only knew Sung Tongs at the time, so it was a bit strange, but I remember loving that show. I also saw the post-feels show in LA, and it was very Feels heavy.

And, i really hope they continue with the 2008 sets. I didn't see the full pitchfork set, so I wouldn't be able to qualify it as my favorite, but it was a pretty amazing show. They sounded like audio mercury:Shining, liquid, metallic, pure and amazing. Fireworks/Essplode is the 3rd best live song I've heard this year, behind Boredoms entire set that they do and Deerhunter's pop version of Octet.

As far as the new songs go...I remember "My Girls" being 34932804 times more awesome at the listening party. I really don't like the vocals.

That being said, "Summertime Clothes" should redeem MG from being kinda boring in hindsight. I mean, I love it...But I miss the harshness of the vocals from live versions. I'm actually more excited for "Guys Eyes" the more I think of it.

US vinyl release date appears to have been pushed up to January 6

Isn't there the presale password thing on Ticketmaster or is it gone? I got the password/link from someone connected to the band, so I'm not sure if it's something I can give out. The presale was noted for "ANIMAL COLLECTIVE" so I'm guessing it was for band invited people only? Not sure. I haven't seen it made public, and I only know one other person who got the same email from the same person.

It's apparently done the rounds on Collected Animals as well. I wouldn't know because I'm obviously not allowed in... but I sure wish I had made an account there before, I've never really had much interest in internet message boards before now. Ah well.

I'm pretty nervous for tomorrow. I shouldn't be, because I'm already seeing them the night before, but this is going to be so much better, I can tell. On top of that, my stupid lazy friends didn't get tickets in time for the Henry Fonda show, and so if they don't score tickets for the Troubadour show I'm going to have lonely trip to LA. I'm thinking it will be alright though.
