Good stuff dude
Good stuff dude
I picked this up the other night at the show.
cutterbutter gets his shit together and frames all week. Some gig-posters next I swear.
Yeah, it's from the thing. Pretty jealous of that totoro one. Tried to get one for my gf but missed the drop by a minute
"det er en slags ting"
Glow in the dark inks on some copies
This was his last one. "They All Float" for IT
His next one is coming out this week for The Walking Dead. "This Is My Farm. I'll Die Here" Bunch of info on that on his website: http://www.tacobelvedere.com/2012/05...re-update.html
He's a really nice guy and does sketches in the margin of whatever you request.

The glow in the dark images on those are fucking nuts!
EDIT: also, Mark Englert's progression over the years is crazy. I used to be really active in a Savage Dragon fans e-mail group in the mid-late 90s with him when he was very much a n amateur fan-artist and it's been awesome watching him progress into a professional over the years. What he's doing with these prints is light years ahead of any comics work he's done though.

Ooo there was glow on the IT print as well. Real life photo:
oh man, i need to get that gid walking dead one. do you know when that's going to be sold?
i dunno, i want to gift it to my girlfriend, she has all the comics and would really like it
I'd imagine you can check back for posts on his site I posted for on sale date/time info. He also posts a ton over in his EB thread. Lots of awesome process stuff. http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewt...p?f=32&t=81852
Pretty cool to see how far his Thing print came from the original mockup:
One of King's best novels, such a freak out piece, I love that print. Want. Even though the movie wasn't spectacular, it hit a lot of the beats and Tim Curry created one of the freakiest clowns ever.
Here's my entire collection. Thought you guys might get pissed if I post 20 pictures on here, so I uploaded them to Flickr. Hope you enjoy!

Yes, I have the Godspeed poster from the US tour last year he did. There was also a different colorway of the same design in europe in weird yellows that I did not find as appealing. Great pairing of artist and band.
I too have have one of those Godspeed posters. The original.
I think I like the floral design on the reprint more but that European-yellow is pretty awful.
Today's Mondo Mystery Movie is Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and the poster is by Aaron Horkey!
i ended up getting the variant set. can't wait to have those framed and on a wall.
did you guys see the new Doyle print for The Fifth Element?
I think I like dislike Horkey's work more than Emek's. Didn't think that was possible.
Cool prints, BvsW.

Four Tet - 3/1 - The Mohawk
SXSW - 3/7 - 3/16
Austin Psych Fest - 5/2 - 5/4 - Carson Creek Ranch
I'm a big Doyle fan but his Leeloo likeness is garbage in that one. And the alien singer isn't much better. Derp faces.
I pretty much hate everything about that 5 Element poster. The uncoloured version looks a bit better though. Those are some thoughtlessly garish colours, and a really muddied, too-busy composition.
oh man it took me several looks to realize that was Ruby Rhod in there. Way too much messy, unnecessary linework.
