I kind of want to start a collection. Where should i start? i know i should get some in concerts i go to in the future but where else? I am thinking of going to Amoeba in hollywood do they have a good selection?
for limited stuff it is either at the show or on the artists website usually...then you have the scalpers on ebay...expressobeans has classifieds, too.
how about for just some legit stuff. doesnt have to be limited, just awesome
damn those are some beautiful pieces of art. Honestly, i never seem to see posters as nice as these at the shows I go to. I'd love to get posters for a specific show I went to, but really haven't seen many. I have a ton of random band/movie posters but nothing like this.
Closest thing I have (and will be framing) is Radiohead's limited poster from this tour and limited Flogging Molly poster when Within a Mile of Home came out. Cool poster, but again, nothing like the ones above
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.
Start here - buy something from AA - those guys are mad respected and have an amazing style that stretches across many cool artists. Their posters sell for only $20 and sell out at a steady rate but nothing crazy like the Burlesque releases. Did I mention they are purdy?

Then check out some stuff from Patent Pending, which is basically 2 guys that used to run the art side of all things Sub Pop. They are still based in Seattle and still do amazing work. they start their posters at $20 also, but they (like other designers) mark their posters up as the become more scarce.

Then expand by choosing another design house or two (I mentioned a few before), basically - find out what look you like and then buy what music you dig, you won't go wrong. Here are some of my personal picks to get you started.

exactly what i was looking for. your the best.
First off, don't buy stuff you don't like unless it's something you can sell later for a profit (Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire etc). Then there is the ethical question of selling these posters for profit later.
I personally like Guy Burwells work. www.guyburwell.com He did the two MMJ posters I linked in my first post in this thread.
I just went to amoeba and got these...
then i framed 'em and put 'em in my room. they look so nice![]()
Where is the Justice one from? And did they have more than one
justice at the mayan theater
cat power at the fillmore
animal collective at the music box
You are kidding me, never knew they made one, was there more than one
yeah i got it at amoeba under various. the cat power one was the only one that was out. They had at least one more justice one cause they didnt give me the one on display. I found it by the stairs if you care to look. $20
Sweet, I might have to make a trip down there, yeah if they dont give you the one in the display they have a few in the flatfile, Im stoked...
edit: push posters is selling it too, sweet..

iPod and Rubik's cube for size comparison lol.
Well the Radiohead one isnt really a show exclusive, but good for u.
I know, I have one....
i forgot this thread was called show posters, lolz!
Nice pink room. How much do these posters usually cost?
Well if you are at the show and you are getting one, it depends but averag woudl be $15, more of course if its printed on good paper and limited to a small amount of prints.
