I've not really been a fan of any of the Breaking Bad prints. Shame.

Its been a pretty mixed bag. The Danger is the only one thats really wowed me and I bought the Englert to see it in person but yeahhhh.
Biggest problem with the series is that the artist were told which character/scene to do (at least the ones I spoke to) and many of them are just too thin of slices of that show's universe. Or the implementation is just plain off trying to capture the emotion of it all. I mean, Todd Slater is a beast but what the hell happened with this. Its just so...there.
I do hope print versions of these end up at that gallery though. Love me some Mike Mitchell.

I might be interested in the Englant piece, unless its available at the show.
What time would you expect to be there to get a good spot? I've picked up from G1988 before but have never attended an art show. I'd imagine it can still get busy regardless of it being Monday.

Grabbed a lickable wallpaper wonka print and the 8-bit spring break.
I think its just scented inks. I dont think you want to lick that :P Those 8-bit pieces are insane! I grabbed the Olly Moss Leon. Great flick, fun print.
Let me know! I'd be surprised if it available but who knows. Englert is selling APs online soon for $100+shipping but they have a sketch on them if thats your kind of thing.
G88 shows are a mixed bag when it comes to line. It really just depends on what they announce is there ahead of time. Also, Breaking Bad is popular but they also gave 10 days notice on this so I doubt its going to be like the Arrested Development mod scene. Just get there and get your name on the list to buy. The chances an edition of 50 sells out in front of you slim unless every single person is waiting for it like they do for a Moss print or similar.
I'm going to lick it anyway.
There was a different poster tonight......
Going to share or dont have anything on it? There's been a non-limited tour poster as well if that was it. Either way, Jones has been killing it this tour. Really great stuff from him.
Found a good photo.

All I know is they didnt have the one you posted above for sale tonight at the shrine. This one was horizontal and had a design of the shrine in light blue. Wasnt able to get decently close enough to take a photo because everyone and their mother was in the fucking merch line. 2 merch booths and both had a line of at least 50 people just after doors opened, and it stayed that way from what I saw til I went to my seats for the opener..
Thats how people pay to go see Jack a bunch of times. The Third Man Records vinyl scene is ridiculous and the posters are right behind that. Most of it is not even worth the price from the get go let alone 4 times it.
What happened with chicago flatstock supre? Check it out? Get rained out?
There were a number of boardies at this show, so perhaps of some interest since they go on sale wednesday. Made specifically for the band/vips/etc. www.emekstudios.com
Limited editions of:
50 aluminum $150
20 copper $200
50 "distressed" metal $225
Lovin the Jay Ryan Andrew Bird posters this year. One day I'll get a Ryan print from a show I attend.

Yeah, I love Jay Ryan. Quite happy with the one I got in San Diego though

Andrew Bird always has great posters it seems like. Really like the one he did for the show here.

I should finally watch that. List of shame...
One of my favorites. Most of the actors are real favela residents. The documentary on the special features is excellent too.

It's really not that bad apparently. I haven't been, but I know you can take guided tours through the favelas. The dealers are more worried about the extremely corrupt police force and other gangsters.
EDIT* In the aforementioned documentary Rio's police chief openly admits to widespread corruption and states that it benefits their society as a whole.

Kind of surprised they got the World Cup and Olympics based on those issues. Assume they will have the federales overseeing security measures.
