He's grumpy, but that just makes him extra adorable.

Unfortunately all I could take was this super crumby photo, it looks almost nothing like this in person... the colors just came out super weird in the picture

In reality the colors are very strong red, blues and yellows.

Google images. That wasn't a picture I personally took of the MMJ poster, just typed in "My Morning Jacket Greek" or something like that, and "Animal Collective Big Sur" for your poster.

They weren't selling any of these out at the library that night as far as I know. Never seen it until now. It's awesome though.

I met Mike King at the Rock Art by the Bay poster show about a month ago here in SF ... nice guy

i love Mike King's work. i have one of his that i posted some pages back.

this poster is my pride and joy (and i was there!). it may not look like much but up close it is beautiful. notice the three buttons on her lapel? each button is a drawing of one of the Sleater-Kinney girls.

The longer I look at that Alpaca, the more it looks like a girl I used to work with.

I can't remember her real name anymore, but we knew her as Twitchy.

The Decemberists web store has some of their posters up from this past weekend ...

EMEK / Aaron Horkey collaboration ... (posters look like they are gone, handbills still there ... at 7 1/2" x 15", that's still a decent size for $20)

Horkey's stuff is tremendous, kind of reminds me of Harry Clark or somebody.

Maybe ease up on the birds and gramaphones though, eh?

Remember - Alpaca's may look like they want you to hug them, but they really fucking don't and they're faster and kickier than you'll ever be.

The thing is, Horkey does so many prints for speed metal screamo bands like Isis, Converge, Boris ... well, I'm just not a fan (I can tolerate Boris for a little while). So, I don't own a lot of his stuff.
