Default 2015 Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame Nominations

Whatever you think of these things, some of the nominees are pretty great. Nine Inch Nails, Kraftwerk, Stevie Ray, NWA, Joan Jett are my top 5.

I think The Smiths, Green Day, and Nine Inch Nails are the top 3 on this list.

Green Day shouldn't. At least not yet. I have never been able to get into the Smiths and I have tried but I understand their influence.

Green Day at the bottom really? They're the most successful nominee on here. They pretty much helped shape the punk rock scene in the 90s and have sold over 75 million albums and singles. It won't take longer than 2 years for them to earn a spot in here

I know what you are saying, and the way they shaped the POP punk scene is great, but that scene vanished back in 2002. No matter how often you give it CPR it wont come back to life. The rest of those artists are all major players in shaping the music industry as well as their respected genre. This is a very very stacked nominee list.

I think Nine Inch Nails might get snubbed because of Kraftwerk. And as a die hard NIN fan, I can actually accept that. Only 5 inducted.

Ditto. The only songs I really like by them are 'William it was Really Nothing' and 'This Charming Man'.

    Never liked SRV either.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

Definitely see The Smiths getting a few sympathy votes because of Morrissey's health. Does this mean if they're inducted there's a possibility of them playing together during the ceremony?

It's an interesting question. I don't imagine Morrissey much wants to be in the same room or on the same stage as Mike Rourke, but his ego wouldn't let him avoid it unless he could pull out some vegan cause to keep him from being there, right?

Couldn't they just not invite Mike Rourke also if the Smiths did reunite for the rock n roll hall of fame. Imagine the fucking second market ticket price on those bad boys when they already go for like $2,000 face price.

Moz would probably appear if Joan Jett and Lou Reed are also inducted. And the only song I bet he'd perform is "Satellite of Love." I'd really like to hear/read his thoughts on each of the nominees.

When I first looked at this list I had Lou Reed, Stevie-Ray and Joan Jett as shoo-ins and the rest up for discussion.

    But I'm old.

    As for my beloved Smiths,

Yeah, I do remember the Blondie induction being particularly awkward.
