I saw The Decemberists in Glasgow on Sunday night. Best gig i've been to so far this year. They are brilliant live. Here's what they played in no particular order...

I've seen the Decemberists a many of times. I reallllly hope they will just do a long kick ass version of The Tain (doubtful). Mariner's Revenge Song is also insanely good... they played it at the end of their Fall 2005 tour in Portland, most energetic performance I've ever seen.

Definently not the best example of Colin's lyrical apt, but I still like the song nonetheless. It's probably the most diverse song on the Crane Wife, so what it loses in lyrical quality it makes up in "hmm, now that's different".
