Frankie used to post a lot on the discogs.com forums. Who knows he may still but I haven't kept up in years. Anyway he used to have a lot of really hilarious and insightful stuff to say about the old days. He was a bit full of himself at times but one of my favorite regular posters.

Am i the only one who gets slightly annoyed when people refer to anything remotely electronic sounding as TECHNO.

For most people, TECHNO conjures up thoughts of euro dance stuff and puts electronic music in general in a silly light.

IDM is basically the "Alternative" of electronic music. Its a generic term applied to a bunch of stylistically different music and musicians. Its a wide net.
