I'm holding off until they at least announce the curator (and hopefully Kutschers isn't sold out by then). They make it too tough to transfer tickets & lodging.

I don't think they're offering lodging until after they announce the curator

Hrm, lodging is going on sale next week though. Are they announcing the curator that soon??! I was kinda hoping not, because I'm sure it won't sell out until they do, and I could use a little longer before sinking more money into music trips. I haven't even paid the credit card bill from ATP + ACL yet.

i don't think they'll announce the curator next week. about the rooms, they are doing packages of 7, and it'd work great, but nobody has the money to book them this soon. that's a lot of money. we have to work something out.

I could in a month or so, but yea, it's a lot of money, to pay a year in advance, without having any lineup.

    whew.

    ATP NEW YORK ACCOMMODATION UPDATE

We apologise that there will be a slight delay with the on-sale date for accommodation.
This is so that we can make sure that we're 100% ready and won't have any problems once we get going.

We'll update the website with a new confirmed on-sale date as soon as we have it.

    EARLY BIRD TICKETHOLDERS
Everyone that currently has early bird tickets (or buys them very soon) will receive an email around two days before the accommodation goes on general sale with a link allowing them to buy Kutshers accommodation first. So keep an eye on your inboxes!

also, i emailed atp and they said the curator will be released hopefully by the end of october or november.

Early bird accommodations are onsale now. I have enough to kick in for a 3-person room, so is there anyone who is most likely going and wants to lay claim to a spot in that room?

dang. i'm almost 100% sure i'm going, but i can't afford ticket+room now. the dates work perfect and i'll buy my ticket right after they announce the curator. i think i could ask for a spot in your room, but i don't know when i'll have the money. basically, if you have an empty spot, count me in. but if someone else wants the spot money in hand before me, i lose.

Ok. It's $162 per person plus hopefully a few dollars to cover paypal fees if you're paypaling it..

Yeah, fuck it. I booked a 6 person room at Kutschers. I've got 4 spots up for grabs.

I'm sure I'll be flooded with requests once Neutral Milk Hotel is confirmed as the curator.

I might be down to going if I'm tempted enough by the curator.

No kidding, I'm already fully invested in this without knowing who will be there. And this is purely based on one experience.

It has been more than 3 weeks since that "coming weeks" was posted last 28th of September 2008.

Since early bird tickets price "will increase to $235 each + booking fee after NOVEMBER 1ST 2008.", I'm hoping/guessing that their "coming weeks" < 8 weeks/2 months so announcement of curator may happen during the month of November.
