The only album of hers I listen to is "whatever". I saw her twice at the Park West in Chicago. The first time I saw her was a week after Bjork played the same club when "debut" came out. (it's small like 700 person capacity).
Anyway, back then Aimee put on a better show and was far more enjoyable. I would have never guessed how things would have turned out some 14 years down the road. Bjork on her first solo tour and Aimee Mann on her first solo tour. I thought Aimee ruled. Anyway, after that I kept listening to Bjork and some of the singer songwriter stuff Aimee was doing started to sound rather boring and not so adventurous though she had some popularity with that Lost in Space album she never quite broke out that's for sure though here in 2008 i'm still enjoying the "whatever" album.
Anyone else dig this chicks music? I think she played the Roo this year or last as well.
