Still, it's kind of hypocritial of a parent to say no, don't do drugs because I said so. That is, unless the parent was a product of the yay heyday or was a hippie, then their concern is warranted. It seems that if you're going to crackdown on someone at least have some experience in the area you're policing.
Can your Dad get any more Opium? Hahha just kidding.

I know what you guys are saying about "people knowing you do drugs". It always comes up when tripping. Especially when you are around people who aren't or have to interact with sober people. "They know I'm tripping right now. Dont look at me!" But that usually fades away.

In his current state, no. I believe it would be hard to orchestrate any receiving or deal as a resident of an urn. Though, if I can find a way to speak to him via medium or cleirvoyant, I'll make sure to ask him if he has any connects .

TeamCoachellaHellYeah, I would recommend doing a test run with people you can trust in a controlled environment on whatever substance you would want to do at Coachella. It's really worth doing. It enhances the experience and makes the endurance test of three days of partying easier to pass. I'm no expert, but according to Randy on the former drug thread, a simple Xanax can go a long way towards containing a trip gone awry. And knowing you have an exit strategy will already make yr trip go smoother, because you are the pilot of yr own trip, at least at low dosages. If you feel good, yr trip will be good, assuming you don't get murdered or anything like that. Making sure you have someone with you that you trust is huge too. I started tripping too hard during Kraftwerk this year, but Salah was there with me and it calmed me down and I ended up having the best night of my life. You seem to be pretty friendly and popular on the board, so finding good company at Coachella shouldn't be hard, even if the people you go with aren't into it. And I've always remembered events on acid and ecstasy more vividly than sober or while drinking. Just stay away from crack, meth, and (especially) Fanta, and you'll be fine.

Don't worry Pat man, I've got a special Fanta for you too.

About my earlier mentioned mushroom disaster the sunday night of Coachella, souldischarge (patrick) saved my life as well. an eye for an eye.

Heh. My mom knows I do drugs and what drugs I do. I even explained what ecstasy is to her. I don't think she really cares so long as I'm not addicted to smack or anything like that. I'm guess I'm pretty grateful for that. I hate drug use having to feel like some dirty little secret. Fuck over hyped stigmas.

    Hell, pull a Keith Richards!
Its like the Infinite Monkey Theorem, if you put X amount of monkeys in a room with a typewriter and ask them to give you Shakespeare 99% of them will fling their shit at you while the other 1% will masturbate in the corner.

heh, I used to steel weed from my mom all the damn time in my late teens, early 20's. Now when I go back to Chicago to visit she has a few joints rolled up for me. I am not comfortable smoking with her though. It's weird to me but maybe i'll grow out of that some day.

Word. I have some pulp fiction esque stories about a 17 year old girl and a can of dust off (computer canned air stuff). Holy shit I thought some folks were going to jail that night. I lived in a house with 3 friends 18-21. The can of dust off was being passed around (somehow someone figured out that shit was similar to nitrous). I was laying on my bed which had a clear view of the kitchen table. The can went around the table and got to this girl Barb and she started sucking ( it was her first time ever) and she kept sucking and finally I sat up and yelled enough, you are taking in too much! She slumped over in her chair, can fell to the floor. I jumped up and she fell all the way to the floor, started to turn blue and pissed her pants. her mouth started to foam up. I picked her up and slapped her face while clearing the spit from her mouth and she wakes up coughing. I take the can and heave it out the back door into the alley. She sits back up and asks for another hit and wonders what happened. I procede to yell at her and tell her to take a look at her pants. She got embarassed and cried.

A dead 17 year old would not have been a good thing me thinks.

That's how it's supposed to be done. If it doesn't end in pissing yrself and crying, it's not worth doing.

If anything, that would be my recommendation for the first time as well if you should choose to do anything...BTW, Vinylmartyr, how is the "reality" of life treating you? I recall you saying awhile back that you stayed somewhere here in Indian Wells for awhile. (Or, worked there?)
I'm doing good. I have not had a drink or any drugs for 16 months. I was in Indian Wells for a while but I'm back in LA now.

    Wkipedia:
Nitrous oxide can be habit-forming because of its short-lived effect (generally from 0.1 - 1 minutes in recreational doses) and ease of access. Long-term use in excessive quantities has been associated with vitamin B12 deficiency anemia due to reduced hemopoiesis, neuropathy, tinnitus, and numbness in extremities. Harmful irreversible effects that may be caused by abuse of nitrous oxide include peripheral neuropathies and limb spasms.[12] Pregnant women should not use nitrous oxide as chronic use is teratogenic and foetotoxic. One study in rats found that long term exposure to high doses of nitrous oxide may lead to Olney's lesions.[13]

I don't really understand all those words in there.
