excellent! this is what I like to hear people. As far as season 3 goes, I know ZERO about it, which is rare because I usually cannot stay away from spoilers.

No surprise on her, but good to hear about Dokes. That's guy's acting "style" was so annoying, and how long could they drag on the "I'm suspicious of you...I got my eye on you" bit. It worked the first season, but in the second season, he's trying to dodge the EffingBI. Why do I care about this dumb-ass cop being on his case?

When he actually had Dokes fooled with the whole "I'm an addict" bit, I was so relieved they had finally moved on. Then, 3 weeks later, it starts all over again. It just got boring. And how many weeks did they go without a kill? It was like watching porn with all the sex scenes cut out. (Which, by the way, is the best way to watch Cafe Flesh, but that's the exception to the rule.)

The first season was flawless. Maybe I'll finally watch the last three episodes or season 2 and give season 3 a chance.

EDIT- Oh, and the new police captain (or whatever) obsessed with the cheating boyfriend...did that EVER pay off in ANY way? Now that I think about it, that's the point where I really started to doubt the show.

Caradine was awesome, though.

I actually thought of that as I was writing that...I was bagging on Dokes, but he was involved in my absolute favorite scene. That was fantastic.

Great show that started to get really stale at the end of season 2. Call me crazy, but I like to watch Dexter kill people, and season 2 definitely missed the mark on that one. But Doakes-face-smashing scene was pretty awesome

We were a bit upset that he decided to let Dokes take the fall and go back to being a serial killer. I was kind of hoping for him to become "good" and stop killing.

Definitly agree, but it happens, sometimes seasons start off shitty and get better. By the season 2 finale, it was obvious the writers needed to take a break and regroup

I started feeling more sympathetic to Laguerta until it was revealed that she slept with her lieutenant's fiance just to get her lieutenant fired. What a cunt.

The end to the 2nd season was definitely a turn-off for me, but you can't get mad at the show overall. I was fortunate to catch them filming some parts of the episodes in Long Beach, CA. It's pretty cool to recognize some of the local shots...

As for the past seasons.... Lila was great until she turned out to be psycho cunt. Glad she's gone. This season Rita is already getting on my nerves. Her and her fucking pudding. This new guy... shit I forgot his name... so obvious Deb is going to bang him, then something with this internal affairs chic is going to happen (deb will find out what newbie did and drama will ensue)...


Anyone here read the books? I've read Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter and enjoyed both. I'm not sure when Dexter in the Dark came out but it looks as though it got bad reviews. Anyone read it and can give their opinion?
