I agree. Kate Bush for 09.
And if we can't get Kate to come out, we could at least get these guys. They seem to get it.

The only cover version of "Running Up That Hill" that I think actually catches the spirit of the original is the Chromatics'.
As for Bowie, I would actually be pretty excited, but when I saw him when I was 16 or 17, he was extremely underwhelming. Probably because I was in nosebleeds in a convention center so I might as well be watching him on tv, but it still seemed like he just dragged out all the overplayed hits and made them poppier and less interesting. Still, Coachella seems to bring out the best in performers.
And Salah, as a *** you owe it to yrself to know at least some Kate Bush. Watch the videos for Hounds of Love, Wuthering Heights, Babooshka, Running Up That Hill, etc. You can't deny she'd be a great performer.
That's right, I completely forgot you told me about your Bowie experience. I understand your hesitation, but you hit it on the head man, Bowie @ Coachella would be like Prince, only, dare I say it, maybe better.
I will check out Ms. Bush, and don't you call me a *** you queer!

I've always wanted to see her. She's one thats very private and doesn't like to tour so if we got her that would be a must see. Her last record was great.
I'm sorry, I laughed like a halfwit, I fail at being a grown-up.
Also, Running Up That Hill is the song powersuits were built for.
Used to have this recording -
on a VHS, and watched it over and over and over until finally somebody put me out of my misery and bought me the damn album.
Fuck right off Tori Amos, you'll never even approach the foothills of the mighty Kate Bush mountain of awesome.
What does Kate Bush do inbetween albums? Maybe she's one of those people who leads a completely normal life. She could have served me a burger and I would have never known.
Dude, if Kate Bush served you a burger it would have been the most strangely compelling burger you'd ever had in your life.
You'd have known if it were a Kate Bush burger.
In answer to your question, I'd be extremely disappointed if she didn't spend her downtime wandering desolate windswept moors.
She did do one tour in like 1979 or something. But yeah, she doesn't do live performances.
Aerial was a few years ago and a live appearance now would be so random. But it would be probably the most amazing thing Coachella could ever hope to pull together. All her fans would flock to Indio for sure.

Kate Nash for '08...
Absolutely yes.
p.s. MissingPerson said Bush burger and I laughed like a 6 year old.
"Yes, I am indeed beautiful! Sometimes I sit and wonder, in my artless Japanese way, why it is that I am so much more attractive than anybody else in the whole world. Can this be vanity? No! Nature is lovely and rejoices in her loveliness. I am a child of Nature, and take after my mother."
