Even though some jackass will probably start a thread about this, I am going to try to do the right thing since this is definitely not thread-worthy:
http://www.billboard.com/#/news/red-...03999140.storyRed Hot Chili Peppers Reuniting In October
With another Chickenfoot tour and the first release of his instrumental side band Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats looming, the drummer has October circled on his calendar for the Red Hot Chili Peppers' return to active duty.
"That's the plan," Smith tells Billboard.com, noting that what was announced as a one-year break turned into two for the quartet after touring to support 2005's "Stadium Arcadium." "Everybody was like, 'Y'know, I really like having this time off, not being a Chili Pepper and doing other things...It'll be two years in September, so now we're ready. You can't force people to play when they don't want to play or aren't ready to play or whatever -- not in our band, anyway."

Oh God, I'm going to hibernate.
You've been warned.
Just watched an interview with Jack White with the Dead Weather.
a) Considerably more personable than I expected
b) Somewhat tellingly, an unlimited mine of jokes about drummers
Oh, Eminem needs to get out of my life. He became a parody of himself a long long time ago.
Forgive me if I don't find a self-indulgent dirge of really badly tied together themes and plot with a confusing-as-all-fuck narrative combined with what, to my ears, sounds like the worst folk-inspired impression of the Mars Volta, to be good in the least. Hazards of Love may not be the worst thing the Decemberists have done or will do, but it doesn't warrant a SECOND exclusive tour of the album, and if I were going to the one show where they are actually playing songs that arent on that piece of shit, I would sure as hell like to hear a non-HOL or something resembling a normal Decemberists set-list.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Tommy.
Grizzly Bear is still the correct answer when discussing Grizzly Bear circa 2007 vs The Kooks circa 2007.
Also, I get why someone wouldn't like The Hazards of Love. But compared to their previous work, it's fucking amazing.
NEW DO MAKE SAY THINK ALBUM!! AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
October 20th release date.
This just came out of nowhere. Holy crap I am so happy. They have an audio sampler on the Constellation website, and it's sounding a lot in the same vein as the last album. It sounds wonderful.
Tour please?! (Coachella?!?!)
Heard the new Alice in Chains song on the radio today, I actually think it's pretty good.
Oh, and TV on the Radio's DLZ is pretty much the best song ever.
I just got a demonoid invite, not sure how to upload my music on there thought, any help would be great...
Just heard Joy Division's ceremony in an absolut vodka commercial... that or the radiohead cover.
Random moment of the day.
i got a hold of pretty much all of Bjork's pre-Volta singles about 7 or 8 months ago and continue to find many hidden gems among the insane amount of remixes to be found.
Does anybody here have Red Animal War's album Black Phantom Crusades? I am having trouble finding it online (for free mind you).
Adam, Mike, you guys would be my first go to here. PM if you can share.
