It's a wasted opportunity to show off how superior other aspects of your musical tastes are.

Also, simply being at the show is showing your support, isn't wearing the t-shirt kind of redundant?

I guess that's me. Oh well.
Edit: Well if I was in a band, I'd appreciate the hell out of someone a) buying my shirt and b) caring enough about my band to specifically wear it to the show. I understand it's redundant to other people, but then why is it OK (even encouraged) to wear sports jerseys to games?

I'm definitely anti-wearing the shirt of the band you're about to see as well. Very.

Soo I love when I go to my iTunes and listen to albums front to back that I haven't had the time to yet, and they turn out fucking amazing. That just happened with Mission Of Burma's Vs..
Just read Nick Oliveri is also collaborating on the new Queens of the Stone Age album....
He should just fucking be back in the band.

This is pretty cool, especially for R.E.M. fans. Wuxtry Records in Athens, GA (where employee Peter Buck met customer Michael Stipe in 1980) is releasing some of its previously uncirculated concert footage to YouTube. This is a 13-song set from 1981 (less than a year since the band played its first show and over a year before they released their debut Chronic Town EP), shot in Atlanta opening for Joe "King" Carrasco. Early versions of some old favorites show up, as well as a couple covers and some other songs that never made it to record.
Yeah man yr the best! Hah but seriously, I think you've showed me more music than anyone/anything else so I'm forever grateful for that!

Solid new Ducktails (Matt Mondanile of Real Estate) track featuring Ford & Lopatin and others.
I was flipping through the channels and found this deal called axs.tv. They're screening a concert from Sonic Youth on the Murray Street tour. They were such an awesome live band around this time, and it's always great to watch Jim O'Rourke look super dumpy.

So I listened to two side project bands today that I hadn't before.
Mondo Generator was fantastic. Definitely gonna hit up that Satellite show.
Tomahawk was not to my liking at all. With the exception of some of Disco Volante I haven't really ever been too keen on anything Mike Patton-related before though, so this came as no surprise.

I got through the first few songs of their debut before turning it off. And I didn't say it was a Mike Patton project, I said it was Patton-related, which it is.
