I don't know The Church... but I think The Cult would be pretty awesome.

I feel like the Cult would be a good aggro show, but not so aggro that I'd feel uncomfortable in the crush of people.

The negative is that they might bring in too old of a crowd, despite the fact I don't think they're a hair metal band...

Thumbs up for the Church. Clip for Josh's benefit:

I have never liked the Cult...Ian Astbury's voice turns my stomach. But I have no doubt that there would be someone I liked better playing at the same time, so bring 'em on.

I've seen the Church at least 8 times over the years. Best set was at The Ventura Theatre. Peter Murphy opened for them. He closed out with Bela Lugosi. Love Mr Piper.

Oh yeah, not much of a Cult fan. My sister was a fan of them in high school. The hair was impressive but all of the songs sounded the same.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

The Church are great. The Cult are pretty good but the Mission would kill!!
Actually The Church and the Mission would be phenomenal.
I think Sisters of Mercy were better when Wayne was in the band and I love Sisters of Mercy.

I'm in the University area, but I don't mind driving anywhere really. Know any good record shops downtown? Shoot me a PM with some ideas, I'm free for most of the week, depending on the time.

Also, I'm sorry, but when I think of This Mortal Coil, I can't help but to think of Patton Oswalt's joke about KFC's Famous Bowls... lol

But instead of Pink Floyd's "Great Gig In The Sky", on the CD he says This Mortal Coil's "It'll End In Tears".
