For better or for worse depending on your taste (as they usually appear to be a very polarizing band) Franz Ferdinand has an album coming out around April of 2009. Methinks they will make an appearance on the main stage.

Im down for that as long as they play Outsiders. I see them very likely to play at Coachella 09.
Yeah what snippets I've heard from the new album has gotten me pretty excited. I've only heard that they have a pretty powerful live show so it's one of the big ones I'm gunning for in the '09 lineup.
I totally think they will play '09
'99-'11...
ya, polarizing is a good way to say that, not sure why though, seen them 4 times i think, and they always put on a great show ... over the pond, they are bigger, but then the brits seem to be always on the edge and well just weird on who they like, but i seem to usually agree with them ....x****
Coachella Wk2 04/19-04/21
Wakarusa 05/30-06/02
Bonnaroo 06/13-06/16
Dave Matthews Band 08/23-08/24
BurningMan 08/26-09/02
VooDoo 11/01-11/03
Bridge Benefit 10/???
Say what you want about them, they are a great band. 2nd stage would work for me. They did great on the main stage.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
I will start an underwear thread for sure if they play. Ithem like you wouldnt believe, got their debut album on vinyl autographed @ Coachella 06, it hangs framed and proud on my wall.
A million times YES to this! If you know my wishlist (and I know you do), you'll remember that I have them playing sunset right before Beck and Bowie on Sunday night. a boy can dream![]()

that doesn't mean it's a good thing.
I really liked Franz Ferdinand a lot back then although I'm not sure how well that translated to the main stage at a festival. I remember enjoying it back then, although I haven't listened to their music in a long time now.
i actually like a lot of stuff by franz, but i was really disappointed by their coachella set. they've said themselves they like making music that gets the girls dancing, but unfortunately they didn't get my toes tapping once. i would love to see them in a small, indoor venue though. maybe it would be a better set.
