I think he'll be the only postal service employee still working Saturdays. Good for him really. I'm not condoning his choices, but this was common practice in the sport. As he says, "his peers know who won the tour 7 times". Who did he really hurt?

OMG, Kory?!!? How could you be riding without gloves? You silly boy. Hope you are healing well.
That's me silly ol Kory. Slight infection in the right hand, but its healing up. I'll be back to riding when the rain stops. Do you wear a helmet on that busy little head of yours? I need real recommendation here.

Yes. When I'm on the dirt. I'm not a cruiser helmet wearer. I have failed.

There's a company called POC that make awesome practical helmets.

I love these. Thanks for the recommendation you cruisey rebel. Unfortunately, no dealers within 120 miles of me.

One of my all time favorite SNL skits, back when it was funny. I'd watch it.

Freewheel single speed makes so much more sense. Why would you not want to be able to coast?

Yesterday I did some leisurely biking around town to get a tuneup and then do a bunch of chores. It was really nice. Took most of the day, and I probably only biked around 15 miles total, but it was good to get out there and enjoy the sunshine. Also, I PUT MY BIKE ON THE BUS FOR THE FIRST TIME! It actually wasn't difficult to figure out -- I'm not sure why I was so intimidated by the process.

Bike path? I don't need no stinkin bike path! And I just laugh at windstorms. I mean look at those tires, bra! Built for speed.

I just bought a GT Transeo 1.0 Hybrid bike off a friend for 200 and an eighth of green. It's pretty smooth and just what I like as far as the hybrid style goes. I'm more of just a casual on the street rider but now that our city is trying to obtain the title 'Mountain Bike Mecca' I figure I will ride some trails with it after the expansion.

What protective gear do you guys wear besides a helmet?

i go mtb and I only have a helmet but am looking into shin/knee guards, elbow guards, and gloves. Don't wanna be the guy that gets the stuff only after a heavy bloody spill.

That's right outside of Irvine Park, heading towards the Three Bitches. We didn't go that far obviously. We had little people in tow.

Not at all. It's only been the past 5 years that I've had to start wearing a bra out of purpose.

Have you ever biked up in the hills above Yorba Linda? That's my favorite trail in the oc.

I'm sure I have, but when it comes to bikes I'm a complete follower. Do you have a trail name, because "those hills" are not the language my bike friends speak. Bikes are the great equalizer.
