I am watching Woodstock Now and Then on VH1. It's pretty good. Then they are going to do the 4 hour show of the concert after that. cr****

Thankfully I skipped the 1999 edition so that I could try out this other new festival out in Southern California.

Wow that was sort of costly. I never had a ticket for 69 because the fence was down at that time, but some dude on tv had his and it was 8 bucks for each day lol ..... cr****

Being young and dumb, we three had went to the Denver Pop Festival, which was urban, in a football stadium, but it was the first time I was gassed, and the Atlanta Pop Festival which we camped, we thought we had it wired, well only sort of lol cr****

We watched it last night also. Pretty wild, huh? After it ended, I went surfing through different sites, which is where I got the pic I posted. Here's a site that really captured my attention, especially with the personal accounts and stories...Enjoy! I sure am! http://www.woodstockstory.com/

This past week of events really does define the turmoil in the late 60's well when you think about it... August 8, 1969, we had the Manson deal...One week later, August 15, 1969, Woodstock...How could you not be on drugs back then?

My dad worked at Woodstock '69. He was a techie at the Fillmore East for a couple of years when someone came around looking for volunteers. He helped build the stage.
