if it happened, I'd consider going.

until I saw the lineup, at which point I'd probably puke. assuming it's anything like last time, that is...

I think they are going to have one in 2009 (the website now says under construction), but I don't think it's gonna be on the scale of the past ones (talking 69, 94, 99). I think it will be mainly a lot of oldie bands and jam bands (like those wakarusa and 10,000 lakes festivals).

Oh, be fair. How could they have possibly known that putting 250,000 people in a hellish location, gouging them for water and food, not taking care of sewage removal, and booking mindless aggro bands like ICP and Limp Bizkit that attract thousands of low-class animals would result in disaster?

don't forget handing out candles to the masses!

If they do another one...it's gotta be done by someone else. I went to 99 and that thing was hellish.

did you go to 99? It was a fucking hell hole. It took place on an old air force base which means concrete and tarmac everywhere in the middle of july. 96 degrees, 80% humidity. $4 water, $12 pizza. It was the biggest corporate festival to ever exist. It was a joke and had nothing to do with the original Woodstock. The promoters should be ashamed of themselves.

Damn that is crazy man. I think I am going to try and go to this if it happens, i was too young for Woodstock 99 since I was in high school, and my parents would not have let me travel cross country for a music fest. I want to go just for the experience, plus they probably learned alot from the failures at Woodstock 99, and won't make the same mistakes again. This means that i won't be able to do Bonnaroo though, hmmmm at least I have time to decide.

same here, we were even thinking of hitting the europe fests next year, but with the economy, things are tight .... but WS has always held a place in my heart, like the old school has with Coachella ... x****

Michael Lang promoted the original, as well as '94 and '99. I dated two of his daughters in high school.
