I'm 16 so if age applies then that's fine but I'm willing to pitch in $25 for gas money.
I'm trying to get there by Friday (27th) morning before the doors open.

She added the phrase "meany head" to my profile.I hardly think I'm an attention whore.
I look 15 and they've never asked for my ID, which is surprising
you guys are really helpful.
I should say that unless my friend that's going to UCLA decides he's going I wont be driving through there, but I guess it is a possibility because he is a big you know what fan and they will be headlining, but if he really wants to see them that bad i might not bring him just to piss him off haha.
I'm coming over from Scotland for this, looks like i'll be landing at LAX at 14:20 on the Thursday... what do you guys recommend? Only 19 so I assume i'm too young to rent a car...
Just hit google and it looks like most places are 25, lowest i've seen is 21. Ahwell... so how far is LAX from the site itself? How difficult would it be to use buses to get there?
LA to Indio return on the Greyhound for 45 bucks. Doesn't seem unreasonable... haha, this is a real headfuck trying to organise this from however many thousand miles away. It'll be worth it, I have no doubt.
Indeed it will be worth it. Hope it all works for you.
It's true that pretty much all the major car rental agencies require you to be 21 to rent (25 to rent without surcharges). But there's a sneaky loophole to this: you can rent from U-Haul when you're only 18, even if you're just renting a pickup truck or minivan. Most locations only charge around $20/day, so that's an option to consider if you'd rather not go the public transportation route.
Has anyone who has gone before tell me if there's any way I can get away with sleeping in a car instead of renting a campsite/getting a tent pass? Is there a parking lot or anything near the festival?
Amtrak has a station indio don't they? Fairly cheap too.
They do but it doesn't head there from Union Station.
i slept in my sister's car last year, it was no problem at all other than the fact that you feel disgusting the next morning but its all part of the coachella experience!
I am coming from England and getting a flight to LAX, can anyone point me in the direction of this Greyhound thing then please?
FYI LAX to the festival is about a 2 1/2 hour drive assuming there's no traffic but then again you will be in sunny LA.
