I could have sworn there was a big earthquake in El Paso this morning, because I woke up to a bunch of stuff falling down and my bedside drawer was shaking. But apparently my cat just knocked down a chair in my room, which had a bunch of stuff on it, and then she hopped over to the drawer and knocked down more stuff. It scared the hell out of me.

The only truly scary earthquake i've ever experienced was the '94 Northridge quake. That shit caused some serious damage, and it was a 6.7. I can't even imagine what those 7s and 8s they've been getting in Asia feel like.

Yeah, that initial earthquake thought is always a rush. With me its always follwed by one of 2. a huge dissapointment that it was just a jolt or a minor panick gettin ahold of my folks to make sure they're ok. Last nights felt and sounded a lil more to me like a sonic boom.
