I don't mean to brag, but I have been in a extremely low gravity environment with enough surrounding constant relativity to put me in free fall, space hurts in a fun way.
I worked for JPL right after I finished my undergrad. No jokes. Your mass remains the same, acceleration is punched because of your relative surroundings(in a free fall state) so if you land wrong, the force can be concentrated. You feel like since you are not going that fast, it wont hurt to land, on say your big toe(assuming you are barefoot, this is the proof that came around in the late 90's about why Jack Johnson hates space, he cannot be barefoot.) But if you do this, concentrating a large amount of force on such a small area, you can easily break a bone, its intimidating.
But before you go up, they tell you all about what you should and shouldn't do, its easily avoid, the palm of one of your hands is safe to land on plain, but it feels really strange. A quick burst of pain that makes you just laugh. When I first just started cracking up when this happened, I asked the guy in charge if he had any Nitrous, he laughed and told me that it would consider it for the next trip up. Crazy fucking People at JPL, oh god, even the army brats are okay.
