Did i ever mention that i have played poker with Vince, the actor who plays Pete Campbell a number of times? I have a bunch of friends that are grips on the show, and during the first season, Vince came to our poker games a bunch of times. He's a super nice guy and really into playing cards.

I read an interview in (rolling stone?) with him; seemed very down to earth...takes the subway in LA still, etc.

I'm at the end of Season 4 episode 11 right now...tore through the season in a couple days. this is probably my favorite season so far.

I also enjoy that this time around Don Draper basically fucks every single female. Like, way more than before. He is just a walking hard-on that everyone wants to jump on.

I'm now almost as addicted as Drinkey. I've been averaging around 2 episodes a day.

I recently saw the first two episodes of Pan Am. WTF were they thinking?? There is just no comparison to MM! Plus the actors they cast are way too modern and the writing....they call that writing? I give it a season. Maybe.

I snapped one of my little bird ankles Monday night playing soccer and since then I've been laid up on the couch watching Netflix. So far I've watched the first couple episodes of Mad Men and HOLY SHIT ALISON BRIE IS MARRIED TO THAT ASSHOLE.

Season five premiere is four weeks from this Sunday; fair warning for those who need to finish catching up!

My guess is that this will start in 1966 or even 1967. 1967 to 1969 is probably the most overly-mythologized stretch in post-World War II American history, so it will be fascinating to see what the show's writers come up with.
