Paul McCartney has been proven by history to be the biggest douche of The Beatles.
Recanting drug use? Might as well recant The Beatles best records then.

I'm old enough to have seen Paul McCartney & Wings in Cincinnati, OH at the Riverfront Colesium ("Venus & Mars Tour"), general admission show, for something like $6.00. It may have been slightly more than that, but not by much. Paul kicked proverbial ass way back then, and I had the opportunity to catch him on his last go-round in the U.S. (at Staples Center, Los Angeles) and he was one-thousand times better at Staples that what I remember him being back in the seventies. If you have never seen a "Beatle" in concert, you owe it to yourself at least once in your lifetime. And let's face it: Paul's in his sixties. How much longer will he continue doing live shows? I'll welcome him at Coachella 2009, and Ringo would be icing-on-the-cake. Com'on Ringo! Just say, "YES!" You KNOW you wanna do it, bro. Dump the ego and get out there with Paul and have yourselves some fun! You know you wanna! You know you do!

Is "history" a member on this board? Can he/she confirm this?

Apparently the biggest douche wrote the best songs.

    Maybe?
i was actually thinking about this today. Who wold a contemporary headliner be. There are few bands with the kind of artistic value, and popularity to headline. ( Radiohead, Daft Punk, etc.) We don't have the kind of rock legends of previous generations.

This is beautifull. Someone who might actually have some backing on this argument. If in fact your not full of shit, then you sir have convinced me w/out a doubt that Sir Mc should indeed headline and i will indeed get as close to that stage as possible. Dont get me wrong, ive an outlandish amount of respect for the beatles and what they did for music but it just wasnt the biggest of deals for me. Ive been keeping my fingers crosed for the WHO for oh so long now........ I just think two og's is better than one.

McCartney's a living legend, but don't show up to his performance so i can get as close as the churro cart to be able to clearly see him play (on the jumbotron)

Soooo, Macca put out a new album and did a massive tour but did not stop in LA (unless I was really asleep at the wheel). I'm not sure if I could handle a Macca/AF Fri-Sat headliner back-to-back.

Yeah, I would think that having a recent tour that included several baseball, football and futbol stadia would lead to headliner status. That and the fact that, you know, he's a Beatle.
