When I was like 10, my brother introduced me to the 3x3. He told me you could get as many patties as you wanted on your burger.
So every time we had In n out ( 4 times a year), I would add one more patty. I worked all the way up to 8 x 8. Tried a 9x9 twice before giving up. Couldn't finish it.

The 8x8 took three bites verticle to take a bite size chunk from top to bottom. I didn't eat fries or drink soda when I ate it.

I like the grilled cheese at in n out, but I don't eat fast food much these days

The most I've seen go down a gullet was 8x8, which was followed promptly by vomiting. Dude was a champ, though, he walked out of the bathroom and immediately ordered himself a 6x6 to console him in his failure.

And I have tried to go to Shake Shack twice but both times it was massively crowded by throngs of French tourists and insane children running around the place. Both times I have retreated for calmer, less crowded dining options. The look of those cheese fries make me feel pretty good about that decision right now.

I am kind of happy that I have finally reached an age where food like that looks nasty instead of appetizing. Every once in awhile I get a craving for a burger but it is only one patty, with one slice of cheese and I throw extra veggies on it just to feel better about it.

No, we just don't digest piles of grease as well as we did back in our 20's. So the pile of tums I would have to eat to combat having eaten something that greasy and neaseating isn't worth the time or trouble.

It is the tastiest cheese sauce I have ever had on fries except for the one I've made at home. Appearances can be deceiving. And yeah, the last couple times I went it was far too crowded.
