Troy Palamalu? What is this, 2006?
Down the stretch they come...Week 17. Tall Guy and Iced Keg nose to nose for the crown. Menik and Fourthisto battling for third place honors. Santasutt with a razor's edge lead over TomAZ for the beers at the over-40 table. TheKlein trying to crack the top 10. Will Bobert play this week?
So much intrigue.

Fuck. icedkeg and I have the exact same picks except for the Detroit/Minnesota game. It all comes down to that! Go Lions!!!
Haha, I know! At least it'll be over with in the morning games.
Yup, the 2013 Broncos are one of the best Nfl teams ever.
Also the Radiers are soooo bad. Embarrassing bad.
The entire Bears defense can eat a huge dick. This is my least-favorite Bears team in the 23 years I've been a fan.
A look back at some of our predictions before the season started. I was way off on the Eagles, Chiefs & Cardinals. And pretty much nobody was predicting the horrid seasons for Houston, Atlanta & Washington. I still feel pretty good about my playoff predictions.

Hey 49ers fans...
first, congrats on a good win today. Your team deserved to win. hard fought game, great gameplan in the 1st quarter by Harbaugh. Boldin remains my favorite player ever to play NFL football, even though he's on the wrong team now.
but, ponder this: Carson Palmer threw for 407 yards on your secondary today. Carson Palmer. What's Aaron Rodgers going to do next week?
We caught the games at a sports bar in Tempe this afternoon. Definitely made it a more entertaining experience, and there's no way we would've been able to catch the Bears/Packers game at home.
It's deplorable how woeful the Bears defense has become. That used to be what they prided themselves on. Brian Urlacher made a comment towards the beginning of the season about how it would piss him off if the Bears were to win the Super Bowl this year, one year removed from his retirement. Tommy, you follow the league a hell of a lot more closely than I do -- what led them to such a vast decline? Were they just riddled with injuries or do they have a shitty defensive coordinator? Is he likely to be gone next season?
Also, I like Cutler and I feel like he takes an inordinate amount of blame when the Bears lose. He threw, what, 2 interceptions today, with the last coming on the Hail Mary on the last play? He didn't give up 33 points. The stats this week of his record against the Packers -- which feels like bullshit because I could've sworn the Bears have won more than just the game earlier this season against Green Bay in the last few years, but maybe Cutler didn't play in those victories -- don't provide any real context. He could put up blistering numbers but if the defense fails the team like it did today, whose fault is it that they lost?
Finally on this game, that first touchdown for Green Bay was total horseshit. When I first saw the play out of my peripheral vision, I thought the Bears had come away with the ball, and when I saw the replay of Rodgers' motion, I figured the turnover would be overturned due to it being deemed an incomplete pass based on the forward motion of his arm. They kept showing that replay in the scoring review and I never thought that they would consider that a fumble. I've seen that same situation play out a few times before and it's always called an incomplete pass. Am I just being a Bears fanboy or was that a shitty call?
The Cardinals coughed up the ball too many times yet again, and unlike last week, they weren't able to pull out the improbable win. Tom, do you think Palmer is going to regress further still next year or will there be a change in their offensive strategy to minimize the opportunities for him to get picked off as much as he was this season? He wasn't the only turnover culprit but he certainly didn't do the defense, stellar as it was, any favors. And how painful must it be for Jay Feely to know that his last missed field goal of the season was the difference in the game? The Saints won anyway so it wasn't like the Cardinals were going to get into the playoffs regardless, but it's a matter of pride and beating a hated division rival.
I really like Bruce Arians and am optimistic about the success he'll be able to lead the team to in the future. I've got to figure that they still need to focus on getting a quarterback in the draft, though. Palmer's not getting any younger and if he were to get hurt or throw away even more games, they'd be back in the horrible situation they were last year with a John Skelton type under center.
