Yeah and it is also kind of annoying. It's great for the team and the city to get the national spotlight that they clearly deserve but you also get those fair weather fans. The previous two years it seemed like everyone on my Facebook was talking about the 49ers. It was cool getting the attention and all but at the same time I was thinking OK where were you guys from 2000-2010 when they were terrible?

The Seahawks should crash, burn and get salted over until Pete fucking Carroll leaves. I have no ill will towards the team, but they hired the worst person in the world as their coach. I hate that turtleneck-wearing fuck.

Haha I love Pete. Though, I have zero interest in college football, so I had no opinion of him until he came to Seattle. Obviously what he and John Schneider have done for the team have been magnificent so far.

I agree I can't fucking stand Pete Carroll also. Fuck he is the majority of the reason why I hate Seadderall. Otherwise I like when rival teams are both doing well, makes the games more important.

No not even. I actually have a lot of respect for Seattle sports fans. Not just the Seahawks but they turn out for all of their sports teams. I also haven't heard of any reports of them throwing shit on the field at the opposite team or doing anything real nasty.

You sure don't see 67,000 people turn out for an MLS match in any city in America other than Seattle.

I'm sure if Portland had a big enough stadium they would but either way wrong thread to discuss in.

I agree with a lot of those, only a few changes from me though...

Coach of the Year: Andy Reid
Rookie of the Year (Offense): Keenan Allen
Rookie of the Year (Defense): Sheldon Richardson
Comeback Player of the Year: Philip Rivers

I'd say either Lovie Smith or Kyle Shanahan.

Reid would be an easy choice for COTY but I think the Chief's recent success speaks more to how bad Crennell/Cassel/Quinn were last year. Interested to see how KC finishes the season. Rivers would probably have my vote for Comeback Player, but doesn't that award traditionally go to a player returning from injury as opposed to a down year?

I think a lot of times they do, I just can't think of anyone returning from an injury that has done exceptionally well.

AD won it after a return from a good year where he only missed 4 games. Just saying.

AD also tore his ACL then had a career season with an unbelievably short recovery time.

Actually, I might change my head coach vote to Ron Rivera.

Why? Why the fuck does a head coach get a pass for fucking up NUMEROUS times and blowing our chance to make the playoffs? You don't always get as good a chance as the Chargers have had this year (the AFC is utterly mediocre) and nearly every game we've lost this year (the Raiders, Tennessee and Broncos games permitting) were lost due to idiotic decisions made by Chickenshit Mike McCoy.

I actually agree with this. Kudos for not just saying "OBVIOUSLY IT'S ALL PAGANO'S FAULT" though he's run some questionable zone schemes this year that have kind of doomed us to either live or die by our offense.

    And Manti Te'o.

Frankly, I'm concerned that Telesco isn't able to assess talent on the defensive side of the ball. He hit it out of the park on his offensive draft picks (Fluker and Allen) and signings (Woodhead and Dunlap) but his defensive moves were clear misses. Between that and McCoy's utter refusal to let the offense try and win the game instead of punting on 4th and 2 within the opponent's side of the field and rely on the defense to hold, I don't know if we're going to make it back to the playoffs for a long time.
    Upcoming Shows:
    * Dillon Francis + Anamanaguchi -- December 28th

Going to Weekend 1 of Coachella 2014

I understand this I didn't mean it to take away from AD at all that shit was amazing. the point I was making is Smith shouldn't win it for only being gone two games and then being benched. I was just making the point that he played in less games then AD did so I am failing to see his logic on it.

I can't really judge Te'o, or any rookie just yet. We don't really good a good idea how good draft picks are until about 3 years later, no matter how good or bad their rookie season too. Te'o had a rough start but he's progressively gotten better, just not as quick as we had hoped. All rookies need to be given time. I mean, look at RG3. People were ready to hand him a crown last year and look how far he's fallen. Spiller was seen as a bust too until he finally got a chance to start.

Anyways, I'm not ready to codemn the Chargers after one year with the new staff. There's definitely room for improvement and saying that they're doomed after this season is really jumping the gun.
