Holy hell there have been a lot of players getting knocked out for the season before it even starts.

A wanna-be med student and Seahawks fan with too much time on his hands writes a really, really, really in-depth article about Percy Harvin's hip.

Before becoming an RN, I was interviewing for Medical schools (my MCAT score is 32, if anybody wants to compare me to Greg Faulker).
Worth noting that an MCAT score of 32 puts him in the 88 percentile for med students. Noting this in his article would have to put him in the high nineties for narcissistic journalists. What a blowhard.

I'm guessing Harvin is ready for week 1 and plays through the injury the entire season. Supposedly Kam Chancellor played through an identical injury last season and did so at a very high level, so fingers crossed the same holds true for Harvin. Supposedly half a dozen teams approached the Seahawks about acquiring Doug Baldwin this offseason. John Schneider told them to fuck off and is looking pretty damn smart for doing so. I wouldn't trade him for any GM in football.

3-4 month timetable, that's two very injury-prone Vikings receivers that the Seahawks have grabbed recently.

Surprisingly this doesn't upset me as much as it should. Maybe deep down I knew it was too good to be true, like Chris Paul's brief career as a Laker. Even with Harvin sidelined I think the Hawks still have the 2nd best receiving corp in the division, so hopefully we can make a playoff push and Harvin becomes a factor in the postseason. Nothing good ever happens in the off season.

Between all the injuries and arrests this off season this is the most true statement in this thread. Just another sign that the football season should be year round.

Changes to the Pro Bowl. Eliminates Kick Offs and get rid of the NFC/AFC match up. Instead they are having two team captains (Dean and Jerry) and having a "fantasy draft" between the players. Trying to make the game more interesting for people to watch, but no one is still going to.

So I know the dolphins have a new logo.. but did they also tweak the teal on the jersey? I don't remember it being quite that bright. Glow in the fucking dark.

Tyrann Mathieu is turning a lot of heads in Cardinals training camp apparently. I think he's going to turn into quite the steal.

Danario Alexander and Arrelious Benn, torn ACLs.

Damn, I had such high hopes for DX. Being on a one year tender, I'm not counting on him being a Charger next year. Damn shame, he was one of the few receivers I kept an eye on since he was drafted and got giddy when SD picked him up. Ugh, just... UGH.

That's probably the end of his NFL career. Won't this be like his fifth or sixth knee surgery?

He's had multiple surgeries on his left knee but this is his first for his right one. Wouldn't say it's the end of his career though. If Austin Collie can find work, he probably can too. I'm just crossing my fingers he resigns with the Chargers, he's damn good when healthy and we don't have a big receiver like him.

thanks...going to do that deal. Presumably much better than watching the non-HD choppiness, and potentially FBI raided, First Row Sports. Plus, I always buy the game anyway to waste hours of time playing angry or stoned teenagers online.

I've used the PS3 app the past couple of years to stream a second game or the red zone channel to another tv while watching a game on my primary tv via satellite. Unless they've made some significant upgrades to the streaming service I'd be pretty hesitant to use that as my primary means of watching a game. Lots of loading/buffering time (even with very fast internet) and a significant delay between the live feed. Still, since it's basically only $40 it's not really that much of a gamble.

You won't be able to stream it through a PS3 with this deal. As far as I know, it only works with computers, tablets or phones.

Even then, it's still a great deal compared to paying full price which is over $300.

I know it doesn't work with the PS3, but it's still "live" sports being streamed over the internet. The NFL Sunday Ticket online site has always been similarly glitchy.
