Word is Oakland wants to desperately move on from Palmer and if Geno falls to them they're gonna jump on him and that wouldn't surprise me the slightest.

I don't get why he has never really gotten a chance? They waste a stupid 3rd round supplemental draft pick on him. Why not give him a shot?

He was Al's last draft pick. The new staff pretty clearly want their own guy.

But seriously, his start against SD was the most exciting part of this last horrific season. Cut Palmer loose and throw Pryor to the wolves this year, he either develops or we get next years first draft pick and there might be a QB worth getting.

I'd take Jamarcus as a practice squad player. There's no doubt the guy has talent.

I'd take Jamarcus on the 4th of July hot dog eating contest squad, and that's about it.

Also, I'd be excited to see the Cardinals get any free agent. I heard we were talking to Reggie.

Arizona would be better off signing Palmer and either draft Bray to groom him behind Palmer or just wait next year for a QB. Palmer actually didn't do too bad in Oakland this past season and I think pairing him with a supposed QB guru like Arians could make him quite serviceable again. Plus throwing to Fitzgerald, Floyd and Housler ain't too shabby either.

Raiders will jump on this bum if the Cardinals don't get him first.

I have a feeling Fitzpatrick won't be starting anywhere this year.

Christ that Buddy Nix phone conversation is hilarious. He sounds like a chatty old grandma.

That sounds more Raiders than Cards. It's too bad QB skills aren't additive though... if the Cards picked him up, they'd have 3 legitimate #2 QBs, which when added up should correspond to a Brady or Manning. Or something.

Sidenote: seems like the Bills are now locking into Geno in the 1st round, or Nassib in the 2nd if Geno's gone. That, or we're in the Alex Smith Sweepstakes (and by sweepstakes, I mean scratch-off card).

Too late for Smith. He's KC bound.

    Good luck with that.

What makes me even more happy is that Kruger signed with the Browns -- a division rival -- who now have Ray Horton as their DC. Kruger gets a chance to start and will be unleashed in Horton's system.

They have to pay for Flacco's contract somehow

The cap hit for this year is not big enough to prohibit them from re-signing players now, and is also going to restructured like all fucking hell over the next few years to reduce it's cap hit for future off seasons... I think the Ravens are just letting players they undervalue walk. Perhaps they like what they see in the draft. It was already known they wouldn't resign Kruger because of Upshaw being in the mix but Ellerbee walking is flat out stupid.

Oakland releases DHB and Huff. I like those guys, I'm pretty bummed.

And now our best LB ditches us for Miami. So instead of releasing McClain/Palmer/Kelly we lost DHB/Wheeler/Huff... today sucks

DHB will go on to another team and have his best years. My guess is the Patriots.

I'm amazed that's all he gets. This seems like a pretty fucking good deal for the Hawks. Only $14.5 million guaranteed and his season average is a little less than what Dwayne Bowe just got from the Chiefs. This makes him the fifth highest paid WR in the league. That seems like a bargain for the guy that was leading the NFL in total yards before his injury.

Thank You for Wheeler, dropped Dansby and Long and picked up Ellerbe and Wheeler and Wallace. Its amazing what a couple hours can do for your team...on paper at least.
