since when are the Falcons a popular team nationally? I smell a rat.
With all the favorites coming in this weekend, "the man" may have taken another bullet.
I'm not sorry.
Just a little poorer for having all the dogs.
Seattle loses next week.
I so wish I made it to Vegas early in the year to bet on Broncos Super Bowl. Hindsight. Peyton is running this team like a fucking machine.
The guys on ESPN just picked the Seahawks as the most likely road team to get a win this weekend. I definitely think they could, but more likely than Green Bay beating SF? Nah. It took Seattle about 5 possessions to finally take the lead against that anemic Redskins defense. The odds of GB and Sea winning this weekend have to be about even, if not a bit more in GB's favor.
Also, it seems the Super Bowl winner is often a team who has suffered the least amount of injuries.
Is this the year MattyIce finally losses his nickname? I hope so, not for the fact I hate Seattle, but I would love to see Tony Gonzalez actually go deep into the playoffs for once. Seattle is getting hot and peaking at the right time though so we shall see.
"Ice" is also a sports term used for someone who doesn't feel pressure. It's phrased "Matty Ice" because, as Chris said, it sounds like Natty Ice.
I never once assumed it was a negative nickname.
Decided to give myself an early birthday present and got a ticket and a flight to SF for the game this weekend.
Eagles are interviewing him. Might just be a Rooney Rule interview, but I figured he would be one of the first coaches snagged up. I was actually surprised he got fired.

I've seen Lovie Smith's name linked with the Chargers, too.
Sasha gets at least part of his wishlist fulfilled:
