I know Cardinals fans will defend this, but I don't understand pulling Skelton after only 7 passes when they were leading by double digits.

Did you see the game? He was awful even by Skelton standards. He was awful even by Derek Anderson standards. I could have thrown the ball with more accuracy than he did. It's one thing to be a bit off, it's another to consistently miss open receivers by 5 yards.

The Cardinals were leading 13-0 because of the defense. If a even a mediocre NFL qb were in for the Cardinals it would have been 21-0 or 17-0.

edit: Skelton does have a history of starting slow and warming up as the game goes along though, and given that Lindley didn't do any better, in hindsight it does look pretty questionable.

If it only took 7 passes to yank him, then why not get Lindley more ready during their bye week? It just seemed very short-sided. I can see if Skelton was turning the ball over, but why not just put up with his bad passes until he does?

Complete game dominance. I feel bad for Campbell though, it's not like he exactly had a line to block for him. Aldon Smith with 5 sacks is unacceptable for an O-Line. Alex Smith job is safe for this season, but he has to be worried for next season now. Kaepernick looked like it wasn't his first NFL start. Go 9ers!

I still like Huston winning the Super Bowl this year, but if they play like that for every game here on out then I don't see how they lose. But I highly doubt they will play like that every game. Plus I typically don't like to get my hopes up to much even after big games like this. Yes they have been great this past two seasons, but I still have visions of the previous eight in my head.

From what I understand, this is likely to be the only game he's missing. It's not like last year where they started 7-3 and then he was out for the season. I just want them to make the playoffs and go in healthy. Recent history has shown that's what matters. Do that and you have a chance.
