I think one person, Passive, picked the Chiefs. Four people didn't pick at all.

That it one thing I have yet to understand. He is claiming to be a chargers fan but he never picks them to win. I just don't get it.

I have a very interesting stat to share with all of you, especially those in the Pick' Em league:

Sunday night will be the fourth time since 1991 that the Cowboys will play a team that is 7-0 or better. The Cowboys won the previous three, while the loser went on to win the Super Bowl each season (1991, 2006 & 2009). So, as crazy and counterintuitive as it sounds, you might want to think about picking the Cowboys to win. I say this as a Cowboys fan with extremely low confidence, but history is on my side here.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention the Cowboys have also lost their last seven games on Sunday Night Football, so take what I said above with a grain of salt.

The Chargers are seriously probably the hardest NFL team to be a fan of.

They always look really good on paper going into the season, and say all the right things. Then this year they started off 3-0, things are looking good, then they drop 3 straight and look pathetic in the process. Then they come out and stomp on the Cheifs in an important divisional game, and next week they will probably look pathetic again.

Probably the most underachieving franchise in sports history.

Yeah, you've obviously never been a Bills fan. At least you guys have been to the playoffs this millennium.

My God, the NFL is giving this game to the Giants... Big Ben was clearly moving forward and JPP clearly clipped Heath Miller on the return back, didn't think I'd ever see 2 bad calls on one play.

So the Bears are playing some decent football. I'm obviously happy with the way the first half of the season has turned out. I'm not hyping them up or making any grand proclamations. I just want them to get into the playoffs, and be playing well around that time. Next to games are at home against Houston, and at San Francisco. Gonna be tough, but the team is equipped to compete.

Also, the Bears are 12-1 in Jay Cutler's last 13 starts. But he doesn't look happy, and that's what is most important. Right?

Sean Payton won't come to Dallas, him and Jerry have a historic hatred for each other and I'm positive Payton will want the keys to the car which of course will never happen in Dallas... I'm sure the Philly and San Diego gigs will get some interest once they are vacated, there is always the possibility of a return to New Orleans which I think is likely.

The fact that 3 prized head coaching gigs with big franchises will more than likely be available this off season leads many to believe that there is a good chance he would leave.

Isn't that just pure speculation, and not something that's been hinted at by Payton himself? I just don't see any indication that he'll leave. If anything, it seems that he may have even more loyalty to the Saints after the bounty controversy.

Of course it's pure speculation, half of the news in the NFL section of every sports web site is pure speculation. It's just a little more interesting that there will be some very intriguing options for Payton and a few other high profile coaches this off season.

Control of football operations, deep pockets, and a HUGE contract with guaranteed money > a team with a future hall of famer you already won a superbowl with.
