My beloved Vikings. They're a nice story, but Christian Ponder continues to struggle and I just don't see them winning games once they get to the 2nd half of the season. I wanna believe, but I just can't.

Are you sure you're not a closet Chargers fan?

Those are the self decrepitating types.

Christian Ponder could be Christian Bale, it wouldn't matter. All he's gotta do is hand the ball off the AP.

That's exactly it. Everytime he's tried to do more disastrous things have happened lol. He can dump it off to Percy Harvin from time to time too, but that's about it. I had the horrifying though yesterday watching the late afternoon game, would I rather have Mark Sanchez or Christian Ponder as the QB of the Vikings? That fact that I even had to make that comparison and think about it is not pleasant.

By the way, on that Victor Cruz TD yesterday- how the hell did he get behind 3 guys? It looked like he was triple teamed and burned all 3 of them.

The winning line from week 7:

bemerritt 13 13 SF Ten Ind NYG NO Dal Hou GB MN NE Oak Pit Chi 32

That's two weekly wins for bemerritt, if your counting.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before I lost first place. I've been picking more upsets lately and my refusal to pick the raiders to win is going to cost me in the long run.

Actually you're tied for first. The software isn't intelligent enough to recognize ties. So chin up bucko.

Should have known better than to pick the Vikings in a nationally televised game vs a near-equal opponent.

Home crowd at the hankie-dome a non-factor as usual. Minnesotans are just to damn polite.

I know I'm tied for first, I was just mainly referring to the way how each week I've seem to keep getting worse and worse with my picks. Like tonight for instance, I originally picked Tampa when I filled it out on Tuesday and then switched to Minnesota earlier today.

???? My beloved purple were over-achieving all season and they got killed tonight. But the dome is one of the loudest places in the NFL if you give them something to cheer about. That effort tonight was brutal. And the crowd was taekn out of it early. Bad turnovers and Christian Ponderbhas been brutal for a month now. I was hoping they'd win tonight though, because they're at Seattle next week and I don't see how they can win there.

and once again I forgot to make my picks in time for the thursday game, and once again it doesn't matter because there's no way I would have picked tampa.

I agree. A lot of web nerds love him because he's kind of a self-made commentator... but I find his style grating as hell. He does stupid things like chuckling loudly and continually mid-play because he sees a big hole break open, and he's got the Madden disease where he fellates any big name player just because of their reputation. Extremely annoying.
