I think the Cardinals' D is going to be pretty good this year.

I think Matt Leinart is going to be pretty bad this year. I know one half of a preseason game is not much to go on but man he looked awful last night. I think he gave Warner the starting job.

I was just watching the highlights on SC, and he did look awful.

Now Whisenhunt is saying he has not made a decision yet.
It has got to be inevitable.
    Warner is playing much better.

We will see what Whiz says at his 1:30 press conference today.

Do any of you watch NFL games online, using something like Sopcast? Any idea how / where I could stream live games this season?

Lol, it really isn't much different. I do expect this year to be especially bad for them on offense, though.

I think benching Sexy Rex is a step toward improvement.

I agree with that. And even if Kyle Orton is way better than I expect, who is he gonna throw to? The 2 best receivers on the team are tight ends (Clark and Olsen) and the receiver with the most talent (Hester) can't seem to learn the plays.

It doesnt matter who the Bears start at QB, all the qb's on the Chicago roster suck equally.

Merriman said Saturday that he has been told by doctors that he could suffer a possible career-ending injury if he attempts to play without having surgery.

Merriman said he has tears in both the posterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments. He said doctors agree that he needs surgery to repair the damage
Merriman is extremly stupid, I give him 5 weeks before he is taken off the field on a stretcher.

Well, he made such a big deal out of this, that if anybody takes a shot at his knee tehy are going to get fined.

    Leinart looked good last night.
    But so did Kurt....

I think it is too little, too late for Matt.
    But who knows!

Some of those guys on the bubble to make the final 53 for the Cards played their heart out last night (i.e. Lance Long).

    Bring on the regular season!

played their heart out, but still looked like shit vs denvers 2nd and 3rd string.

First 3 quarters we actually looked OK.
Our 3rd & 4th string looked awful in the 4th quarter.

But it is only preseason...so who knows what to gather from it....

The 4th preseason game is only important for those that are playing for their career...Long & Iwebema played very well, as they are on the bubble to make the final 53.

Leinart led the team on 2 TD drives in the 2nd quarter, the only quarter in which he played. One of those drives was a 95 yarder.

now you want to talk about looking like shit:
meet the most overrated coach in the NFL:

The Broncos will continue to wallow in mediocrity as long as they keep him as their coach. This is a supposed 'football mind' who went out and spent big $ on Jake Plummer. His entire career has been made by riding John Elway's coattails.

You will watch your goddamm mouth when you spite papa shanahan with your forked tongue you heathen.

    now just a few tidbits....

“The only starter to be in full gear for the Broncos was fullback Cecil Sapp. Rookie Peyton Hillis, the only other full-time fullback on the roster, took the snaps with the offense, but Sapp was on the sideline and available if needed.”

    WAY TO GO ARIZONA!!

Leinhart take a good look at Kurt because you are already as washed up as he is.

    Shanahan stats….

The all-time high of 636 points in a season came from the 1994 Super Bowl Champion San Francisco 49ers, for whom Shanahan was the offensive coordinator. This was eclipsed during the 2007 season when the New England Patriots scored 589 points in the regular season and 66 points in the postseason for a total of 655 points.

During his NFL career, Shanahan has been a part of teams that have played in 10 Conference Championship Games, in addition to his six Super Bowl appearances, five with Denver and Super Bowl XXIX with San Francisco.

Highest winning percentage in Denver history (.646).

In 2004, he joined the exclusive club of head coaches to post 100 wins in his first 10 seasons with one club, finishing the campaign and decade tied for fourth on this ultra-impressive list of 12 coaches, six of whom are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I mostly stayed away from elway years stats.

I doubt that. It's gonna be like the last 4-5 years with the Cardinals. They have all this promise, and come regular season, they're just gonna be mediocre.
