New Houston Texans coordinator Romeo Crennel has yet to break down his new team's defensive personnel, so he's not prepared to say what his grand plans are with this unit. But Crennel did say, when asked whether the Texans would run a 3-4 defense (as they have the past several seasons) or a 4-3 front (as they are rumored to be switching to), Crennel, in essence, answered yes to both.

“We're going to run a multiple defense,” Crennel told a small group of media Tuesday after the North team practice at the Senior Bowl. "You’re going to see a little of everything."

Jadaveon should be in good hands...

ThomThom, have you ever watched a Romeo Crennell coached team? He was the Browns DC before the Pats and he was the Browns head coach for a while. He says the same shit everywhere. He will primarily run a zone-based 3-4 and won't rush more than four guys the vast majority of the time.
    fuck.

So what in fuck's name happened to Revis? Didn't he at least need to be released by 4pm if they didn't strike a trade?

for what it's worth Bill Pollian had Dansby ranked as the 3rd best free agent... on the Cardinals' defense. He has Javier Arenas and Antoine Cason ranked ahead of Dansby. Says Dansby struggles in coverage.

I have seen quite a bit of Crennel's work, in particular the way he turned around players like Derrick Johnson and Tamba Hali into pro bowlers and potential busts like Tyson Jackson and Dontari Poe into formidable players at their position. As I have stated, I don't think he will have a problem with Clowney and vice versa.

Looks like the Panthers didn't want to lose 3 mill to Steve Smith. I was interested in seeing him go to another team.

So does Cason, and Cason is a DB.

Dansby's contract is front-loaded too, from my understanding, which is a good move by Cleveland for a player of his age and caliber.

    3) He played gingerly all season proving that he still hasn't fully recovered from that ACL tear from two seasons ago.
    1) True. It's a very heavy contract but with a player of his caliber is worth it.

    2) Wrong, it should have been the Bucs who schemed around HIM. The Bucs coaching staff was terrible about making adjustments according to the talent they had. They should've let him play man-coverage most of the time where he excels at, which they didn't.

    3) According to PFF, he was actually one of the highest rated CBs last season.

His deadline is tomorrow I think. Gets a big bonus if he's still on the roster by some time tomorrow.

We can all agree that Jerry is probably the worst GM in the history of professional sports, right? He has the fiscal awareness of a college freshman.

He's a fucking monster from Texas that started immediately for the Raiders, he is one of the best young DE's in the league and has a real knack for getting to the passer (ranked top 5 past couple years in hits to the passer). He should do very very well in Tucker's 4-3 scheme.
