best comoedy movies of all time

Full Metal Jacket
Monty Python/Holy Grail
Comedy does seem to be lacking these days in terms of movies...
the last really funny movie i saw in the theaters was Ben Stiller's Zoolander.

lol. Full Metal Jacket is deffinitly not a comoedy, though it does have some very funny parts.

I just caught one of my favorite comedy movies late last night.

"Dirty Work" with Norm McDonald, Artie Lang, Chevy Chase, Jack Warden and Chris Farley.

it's 10 years old this year. Still cracks me up.

Dirty Work is very underrated as a comoedy

Trading Places is one of my all-time favorites. And Coming to America with the little Trading Places allusion at the end. Also, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. That scene on the highway-- "YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!"-- where their car squeezes through 2 semis, they stop the car on the side of the road, and it bursts into flames is just a classic moment in comedy.

I know you are firmly entrenched in the "clutter the board up with bullshit inane threads that read like the work of a 7 year old, even though there are general umbrella threads that could and have effectively covered these topics ad nauseum" camp. But unless you're just knee-jerk supporting anything I disagree with - and I don't know why you would - I can't imagine why you would champion this practice.

and you can say what you will about whether jackass movies are true comedies but they have made my laugh by far much more than any scripted comedy I have ever seen. The second one was even better but i'm talking full blown belly laughs from that shit. Funny stuff.
