Funny, was just listening to them today for like ten seconds while looking on YT for Occy videos to get amped before a surf (3-4ft and fun in Newport…first time been out in like four months) . Going to put it here cus my surfing thread went straight down the toilet hole upon initiation and don’t wish to resurrect it. Don’t you hate when people bring back old dead threads they personally authored, reeks of desperation. “Hey, remember this?”.

I just realized I have a very important question. My girlfriend and I REALLY want to visit Trader Sam's as we have a particular affinity for Tiki bars. Can you still use the Monorail to get to the Disneyland Hotel, or is there some other way to get there without driving while you're at the park?

You can walk through Downtown Disney to get to the hotels. That bar is fun.

Just went yesterday with my girlfriend. The Bat Day thing was interesting. Let me start off by saying that I have no problem with self expression what so ever. But I noticed various people getting upset at Disneyland attendees staring at them and making comments. How could you dress like that and not expect people to stare/judge/comment? These people were also very rude as they cut in front of my g/f and I various times, and gave us dirty looks all day. And we weren't included in the group that were starying and judging them. We are very chill, easy going people and respect all forms of self expression.

I was there and thought Bats Day was great! I didn't notice what you did, but I did overhear MANY conversations with goth/steampunk people trying to eplain to people what was going on. Lots of confused tourists asking people in black what was going on.

it was so hot yesterday too, some of those people looked crazy uncomfortable!

really bummed I didn't make it yesterday. I was coaching until about 7:30 and just booked it back down to SD. I am glad you guys had a decent time. How did you like Trader Sam's? I always like taking newbies there and making them sit in the sinking chairs

It was hot yesterday. Spent a good amount of time in the shade with the lady and a mint julip. i totally forgot about the eclipse. i went into the bathroom to clean my glasses and when i came out the light was all wack. Missed the full eclipse...nuts. Only caught the Dickies at the HOB later that night. Great show of course (Leonard talked a bit about Stukas Over Disneyland and the Disney ban), but small crowd. Funny to see these shirts being sold in the back:

It looks like my girlfriend and I are going to take my 10-year old daughter to Walt Disney World in July. I surprised Madeline with a visit to Disneyland after Coachella in 2011 (there's a video several pages back, I believe), but this will be something closer to a full week. I've been to Disneyland probably 20 times in my life, but I haven't been to Disney World since I was 15. Looking forward to catching up on the differences.

Mr. Ivankay - I just showed the kiddo your pictures on this page and she flipped. The Haunted Mansion is one of her favorite rides.

My mom has always loved mickey and she has never been to Disneyland (although we went to Disneyworld once). She is coming to visit me in August and I decided to splurge on a room at the Disneyland hotel to surprise her. I am so excited!
