Title is most certainly out of the question even if we somehow manage to beat City; I still think we'll just edge in at 4th but who knows as this season has been batshit crazy. Everton do have a slightly more difficult run-in than Arsenal, but if they manage to build some more momentum (4 wins on the bounce now) you could certainly get positive results in the tougher ones.

So who is going down with Fulham and Cardiff? Sunderland?

I'm at Everton v Fulham on Sunday. I'm back home the weekend of the Everton v Man City game so will hope to catch that too.

Also, the perils of having twitter usernames similar to soccer players/managers. They seem to have formed their own support group.

    Merseyside bias?

Does Wenger get fired if Arsenal miss out on silverware AND champions league? He's got to, right?

If it was biased he'd have Everton 4th, but maybe he doesn't want to jinx it :P

Wenger will never be fired btw, but yes, I think he'll step down if that scenario happens - maybe even if we finish 4th but lose out on the FA Cup.

Yes. I really want our arch rivals to win the title. To be fair, Liverpool and City have been the only two teams worth watching as a neutral this season. The quality of the premiership this time around has been pretty shoddy.

I would laugh for a week straight if it were Sunderland. I think they will be safe in the end, though. They are one game short of Palace, and only 3 points back. They are playing much better under Poyet. I'll take Palace to join Cardiff and Fulham in the drop.

I thought long and hard about Palace too, but I think Pulis will be able to just pull them over the line.

La Liga got very interesting after these past couple Match Days - can Atletico maintain their form along with the demands of the CL? Will Barca be able to cope without Valdez for the rest of the season? Is Madrid's focus on "La Decima" rather than the league?

I suppose I'm thinking in terms of lesser evils. I'd have a bias towards Everton against Arsenal and Chelsea, both of which I strongly despise, and City, who can just outbuy everybody. I at least respect Everton.

With Chelsea dropping all 3 today, Arsenal has a real chance to revive their title hopes (and greatly boost Liverpool's) right now. Go gunners.

After this weekend, I may have to re-think things...Liverpool look unstoppable at the moment. I'm also doing my best to get that horror show I saw at Southampton out of my head. That was atrocious to watch.

Chris, that will indeed be one to watch. As will Newcastle and Man U, all be it for personal reasons: My GF, Alicia, is a Man U fan.

Some tasty CL ties today (Barca v Atletico and United v Bayern) and tomorrow (PSG v Chelsea and Madrid v Dortmund). Does anyone think United will have anything to play for in the 2nd leg? I could also see Madrid effectively ending their tie after tomorrow's match too, not because they're in fantastic form but because Dortmund have just been decimated with injuries all season (and Lewa's suspended for the 1st leg right?).

Man U definitely came out strong, have to give them credit. Bayern has the leg up with the away goal, but anything can happen at this point. Atletico is the real deal. I haven't been giving them enough credit.

Diego Costa is out for the second leg. I can't see atletico getting through without him.

Credit to United yesterday; they played well, especially in the second half. Some shoddy refereeing, though, as if you're going to give Schweinsteiger a second yellow for the "foul" on Rooney then Valencia should have also gotten his second for that tackle on Boateng in the box during the second half.

That Barca/Atleti game was fantastic - end to end stuff, and lots of really great skill from both teams. Having Costa missing through injury will certainly hurt Atletico's chances, but is maybe canceled out by Pique also being out for 4 weeks too (fell awkwardly last night and has a hairline fracture in his hip).

    Diego's thunderblast

Wonderful vision and passing from Iniesta for Neymar's goal

That through pass to Neymar is gorgeous.

PSG took it to Chelsea at home today. Crushing OG against David Luiz. Ibra went off with what looked to be a hamstring injury, so will have to see how that will be next week. Chelsea have their work cut out for them to get back into it.

Real made easy work of Dortmund. RM will be tough to stop.

Hats off to Everton today, they were by far the better team and deserved winners. It's painful to watch us play so, so poorly and without any passion time after time in these big matches, and we're now in a very difficult (and fucking predictable) scrap for 4th.

To be fair to Arsenal, everybody knew February and March (and the first week of April) were going to be really tough for them. 13 matches, 8 against teams from the top 7 of the table, and 2 against the best team in the world. Injuries certainly didn't help their situation either. At least their remaining fixture list favorable.

    5 more wins...

Everton is legit. Playing with full confidence now. My top 4 prediction for them is looking better.

Arsenal's woes started with Ramsey going down. He was having a career year. At least he is back now, but the damage was done. Plenty of talent on Arsenal, but too many players that play the same style of game/position. When there were doing well, Ramsey was creating and pushing just behind the striker, and made Giroud a poacher. I do believe you will see Loic Remy as a Gunner next season, and all Arsenal fans will love him.

So that Moyes sacking wasn't much of a surprise, was it? But why fire him with only 3 games left? Perhaps a spark for the team in pushing for that final Europa League place?

I was also hoping that the CL draw would have been one that resulted in a Real/Bayern final, but I suppose getting to see them play each other twice in the semis is cool too. Predictions for that tie, as well as Chelsea/Atletico?

Looking forward to these matchups. Going to watch the first half at lunch. I will admit that I am pleasantly surprised with Atletico. Playing with such confidence right now. I still think Chelsea get by somehow. Their midfield will be too strong overall. The Real v Bayern matchup is what makes the CL so amazing. I will be glued to every second.

On Moyes, as mentioned before, I think he was in a no win situation. I don't put a lot of Man U's troubles this season on him. Some yes, but not a majority. He is still a quality manager and will succeed elsewhere. Amazing that Moyes can get sacked, and my team still has a lame duck Manager in Pardew. Will be surprised if Newcastle wins a match the rest of the season. Pardew will still have a job.
