OMG! *I'm the only one watching this game - and am feeling really lonely here lolz*

Aguero does it again at close to 57th minute. 2 goals within 5 minutes!

Riquelme pretty much put the icing on the cake for Argentina by just scoring a goal off a penalty shot around 75th minute of the game. Some missed opportunities by Brazil. Oh boy, that dude Pato is dangerous.

Saw some of the highlights of the Nigeria- Belgium match. 2 shots from WELL outside the box found the mark. Terrible defense. That third goal was rediculous, though:

I'm hoping it'll be like his second wind...

Mexico had a really bad game yesterday against Honduras, it was the first game with Sven on the Sideline... Mexico got it together until Cuahtemoc was playing... I don't know why they didn't want him there... he's one of the best playmakers that this continent has...

I've always wondered that myself. Was he playing him up front with Vela?

No, actually Sven played up front with Dos Santos and Vela, then in the second half... Guillermo Franco (Plays with Ozasuna in Spain) came in for Dos Santos, then Omar Bravo came in for Vela and then I don't who Cuahtemoc Blanco came in for and I think he came in for a midfielder... I honestly stopped watching the game because I was pissed because we were lossing against Honduras... later I found out that they won 2 to 1 on some plays that C. Blanco created...

I honestly don't know why they never invited him to play for Mexico until Sven came in, I think he had some problems with Hugo Sanchez... Blanco has been and always been a short fuse player he's always talking shit and punching people or spitting... he's like Gatuzo...

Edit: Guillermo Franco plays for Villareal In Spain, my mistake...

Ok, so two weeks into the EPL. Some thoughts...

Liverpool has two wins, but they did look a bit shaky in doing it. I still love the Keane and Torres combo. I see them having a nice run this season.

Man U. Needs some firepower, but that should come in the form of Ronaldo when he is back. Would love for someone to dethrone them.

Chelsea. Definitely the class of the premiership so far, even though they had a tough match last weekend. Deco is on fire.

Arsenal. Not a good start at all. A very unconvincing win agaisnt West Brom, and a lackluster loss to Fulham. It is early, but not the start that Wenger wanted.

Newcastle, my squad. Couldn't have asked for a better start. Owen comes in and saves the day against a scrappy Bolton side. Hopefully he stays healthy, and we can see what he does along side a healthy Viduka and Martins. Report here that Milner officially wants out. Not good. Not good, at all.

Sunderland. As much as I hate to say it, Keane has them playing very solid. That's the most you will hear me compliment them!

Tottenham. What a disaster so far. What a mess. So much money spent in transfers, they sell their skipper, and their best striker wants out. The mood needs to change soon there, or I can see them falling too far to recover in their bid to break the top 4.

Altho Man U only managed a 1-0 victory at the weekend, they still looked very solid. Liverpool have been dreadful and still got 6 points - wait til they play someone good.

The 2nd Chelsea game was about as exciting as a poetry recital from a coma patient.

Ha! Brilliant description. As I said, Deco is on fire. His kick was magnificent.

Liverpool looked terrible in their Champions qualifier as well. Yet, they still managed the win.

    Chamipions League Groups are set:

Some great matchups. I really like Group "D". I'm calling that the frontrunner for the "Group of Death".

Aresnal could have drawn a worse group so I am happy where they are. I just hope they start having better showings than they did against Fulham. I agree that group D is gonna be a tough group, but I'm also liking the match-up possibilities in groups F and H. I am really interested in seeing how Lyon do against Bayern and Fiorentina and how Zenit St. Petersburg do against Real Madrid and Juventus.

I could put 10 euros down and if they win, I'd have a nice downpayment for Poland/Ukraine in 2012.

Urg! How does Barca always seem to get these cupcake groups?!

Here we go again. I can't wait to see Juve and Madrid play, cracking match on paper anyway.

Let's wait until Cesc plays few matches. Any team without their best player is going to hurt.

True. And, it is WAY early. We all know the start Manure has last season, and we also know it turned out.
Still, I would say that Arsenal has not looked good the first two matches. My Newcastle boys have them this weekend.

Tom, why the hate? What, you couldn't make the soccer team when you were 10, so you have to bash the beautiful game?

I remember a fun story about some Newcastle fans. A few seasons ago, a fan had bought a season ticket. At the first game in August, the 2 seats next to him were empty. This was then the case at every home game afterwards. He thought this odd, as there was a waiting list for season tickets. He even enquired at the ticket office and was told that those seats were sold for the season.

On Boxing day (halfeay through the season), the guy gets to the game and there is a man and his son sitting in the usually empty seats, looking quite annoyed. So he asks why they haven't been to any of the other games all season.

It turns out the guys wife bought him and their son the season tickets as a Christmas present.

I'd love to do this, but I want to go with my mom to Paris next fall, so I think I'd have a better chance of saving up for Euro 2012. Plus, I don't know that I'd ever visit Poland or the Ukraine otherwise (though the same can be said about South Africa).
