Hopefully all the recent leaks mean the lineup is coming soon. The fest is next month, so they're already kinda cutting it close.

Anyone who went last year will remember how much fun this is. I wish they were still doing it in Echo Park, as it was great to go to three real venues and see bands performing there rather than going from stage to stage.

Could be. I'm already going to attend just from the handful of leaked acts so anything else would be bonus.

Edit: it seems last year's was announced on July 16, a Monday. So maybe next Monday?

I wonder what it will be like at the new venue. Anyone ever been to this park before?

I didn't. I figured (correctly) that it was going to be quite rowdy due to some of the bands I wanted to see, like Pissed Jeans, No Age and Jay Reatard. Suffice to say, if I had brought my camera, it would have been broken right quick.

They can be. They were there. I've also seen them bliss out the crowd and have everyone sitting on the floor of the venue. That was equally awesome. They almost always evoke a reaction

As far as I know there is nothing called, "State Historic Park" in Downtown LA. I think they are just saying that it's going to be held in a state historic in Downtown LA.

The only park I am aware of in Downtown LA is Pershing Square which is kind of small but if they closed the streets off it might work.

Maybe they mean a park near downtown, maybe they will do it in Griffith Park or...

Maybe they will do it in Barnsdall Park, that's where they had the Arthur Fest...

I've never been to this festival but reading the blurb I had no idea it was going to involve artists and comedians also.

I also like how it says line up will be posted Mid June...this blurb is from their myspace page.


F Yeah Fest 5 will take place on August 30th & 31st in downtown LA.... For the past four years the festival has taken place in Echo Park. Each year over 50 bands perform, a dozen or so comedians tell jokes and about 40 many artists show their work. The whole thing is curated by Keith Morris from Black Flag & Circle Jerks and myself, Sean Carlson. More information about the fest can be found in the blog section... The line up for this year will be posted in mid June.
