No man, no Gibson shows, I guess I kind of just got over it, D'arcy and Iha really do make a difference to me.

I am going to keep these Pumpkins tickets for Kimmel tommorow until 8pm, if nobody wants them on the board by then I will simply decline the tickets and release them to the wolves. If anybody is interested let me know.

wow, the kimmel show was fucking fantastic.

im a casual pumpkins fan so I can't say what songs they played. (second song was the only one that sounded familar,) they played 4 songs, roughly around 35-40 minutes i would say. they fucking ripped it. seriously sounded amazingly. I was "eh" on Zwan live and the whole semi reunion thing, but Billy and Jimmy sounded and played amazing. After the third song they just jammed for 20 minutes. it was nuts. Billy mixed in his take of Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner and even played with his teeth. He seemed to be in a great mood, smiling and making jokes.

my god the bassist is hot as fuck. imagine a real life tinkerbell in a skintight body suit with pigtales.

for those with tickets to any show I think you'll be well happy. I wish I had tickets to em

So we all know they are doing a special acoustic show in my town for Halloween in a venue that only holds 1800. The Newport is an awesome venue.

Surprisingly, it still took a day or so to sell out. Even at only $40 which was even cheaper than the tour they did.

Info around here says there is no opening band, they are taping the show, and it is slotted for 2.5 hours.

Flights to C-bus are cheap for all you fans.

Kimmel was indeed great. We got: GLOW, Tarantula, Speed Kills (awesome!), United States (20 minute version). They sounded great and Billy seemed to be having a blast up there. I am certainly excited for the December shows.

the reviews of the "special halloween acoustic night with the pumpkins" are not good, not good at all. I talked with a few people who went and they are pissed to say the least, then i started reading the c-bus music blogs. Over at donewaiting one fan chimes in the same thoughts as everyone else who went.

the first hour was acoustic (though all the guitars were distorted) and featured covers such as "monster mash", "wipeout" and "hang on sloopy". there were no acoustic pumpkins songs. talk about your false advertising. it was amusing for a couple songs, but wore thin when the band seemed to not really know how to play said tunes. What could have been a cool acoustic SP thing was just a few people goofing around like some bad college party band, and said band was charging you $50 to see them do it. LAME!!!! One thing we defintely found out, Billy CAN NOT fucking sing a lick (not that he ever could), but when you take the loud distortion out, the cover up is gone and his lame voice exposed to its ear splitting horror.

then there was a twenty or so minute break.

when they came back out for an electric set, they played three or so singles in the next hour and a half. i didn't really know anything else they played cuz it was off the new crap album mostly.

i wish i had my money and night back.Most in attendance felt VERY RIPPED OFF! I hate Billy fucking Corgan for this. Fuck him and his lame ass band.
