Who Killed Amanda Palmer? leaked over a month ago, but today is when the album was available for pre-order with all sorts of crazy stuff. For $100 plus shipping you get an instant download of the album, instant download of exclusive songs, future instant download of exclusive songs, the album signed by Amanda Palmer on CD, the album signed on vinyl, exclusive signed lithograph, an exclusive t-shirt, book signed by Amanda and Neil Gaiman, and an exclusive crime scene photo set.
People on the board were acting like it was a Radiohead ticket pre-sale, lulz. Well, the stuff is on-sale now, all still available (except for the albums also signed by Ben Folds...only the first 250 people get those). I think it's cool how more artists are giving people more incentive to actually buy their albums.
yeah, that's very cool... bummer i don't like the album...
.
The new TV on the Radio is fucking awesome! Wow.
I only recently really got into them and started enjoying them more, and now with the new album, I'm actually proud of them. They are making some really interesting, stong, solid music.
TV ON THE RADIO '09!
(billed just below Bowie! .. they can be the MMJ of 09)
totally!
I'm not a hater though! Just expressing opinions

I just get excited about these bands that I kind of see as underdogs.
Its just nice to see what bands seem like they could stick around for a while. TVOTR's last album was a hard one to beat. I don't know if they beat it, but damned if they didn't turn out a great piece of work that only strengthens their style.
EDIT:
Damn. That was well said.
I just can't get into them. Lord knows I've tried

I know what you mean though. there's just some things I have not been able to get into. Like.. The National for example. I just don't get it.
wait.. there's already a thread for that very topic.
nevermind..
TVOTR is OK... I enjoyed about half of the last album... They weren't that great live when I saw them, not sure I'd go out of my way to see 'em again.
.
Let me know if you can't find it.
.
and i'm officially disappointed

what did you expect with the streets, dude is boarderline GARBAGE. It's hipster wannabe hiphop, he always has been.
has the new Sasha (Invol2er) leaked yet?
and I don't mean the promotional copy that is just one, large audio file. I mean the actual CD with split track sections.
Can someone send me a PM for CWK?
