It's gonna be a clusterfark that's for sure! Kings sent me an email saying free coffee and donuts to fans arriving before 10:30am on Sunday. After seeing the list of road closures, I may just walk over there. Takes me about half hour.

Hey, what's up with Kings fans? I felt like I was watching a regular season game of no significance with the way they were acting. Where's the cheering?

I'll give them props for the last two minutes. They were insanely loud just from what I heard on TV.

Kings fans all lost their voices when they closed out round 2 . that was the loudest I've ever seen Staples Center. The crowd wasn't quite as lively last night compared to other games, but it was a close game most of the way and most fans were probably pretty nervous. Like Footsteps said though, they were great for the last 2 minutes of the game.

NBC also reduces the volume from the crowd so they can talk more. if you compare games between NBC and TSN/CBC you'll see that TSN and CBC often let the crowds call the final minute.

Coyotes finally played a decent game last night and still lost. Oh well.

I don't understand how/when the Kings got this good. That is not the same team they had even as recently as February.

Yeah, this whole series I keep thinking to myself, "how are they an eighth seed?" They're fast and smart. The Coyotes haven't looked comfortable, let alone confident once this series.

Coyotes have had 2 great starts the last 2 games. A noon start is always bad news for LA, so if Phoenix can get another quick start it could get the Kings in trouble.

I don't think any Kings fan can tell you exactly what happened to make them the team they are in the playoffs. Carter helped spread out the talent, the Brown trade rumors turned him into a beast and Quick is just, well, himself, but none of those on their own is enough to turn the team around the way they have. Whatever it is, they are finally playing up to the potential that they had during the offseason last year when everyone was penciling them in as Pacific division champs and Stanley Cup contenders after they traded for Richards.

Yeah, the Kings started playing this well the week they got Carter. They really needed just onnnnne more person to get things done and put pucks on net. This was the same time that Brown decided to go HAM.

The whole "OMG an 8th seed???" is just crap though. Despite the fact that the Western Conference was close as shit this year (honestly, the Stars looked scary good just a few short weeks before the playoffs), I really think it was clear that the Kings had this potential all year round. They just had a REALLY shitty Jan-Feb where they couldn't get pucks in the net, lost multiple times 1-0, 2-1, causing them to have to fight back for an 8th spot, which really came down to a game or two. Kings could have very easily been the 4th seed...

which would only serve to prolong the inevitable.

Maybe not 4th because the Division winner (PHX) didn't even have more points than 4th, 5th or 6th, but they were holding on to 3rd until the last couple games against SJ.

I think Darryl Sutter is also a big reason the Kings are doing as well as they are in the playoffs. It simply took the Kings a couple of months to adjust and buy into his system.

I really hope the Devils win this series, because the Rangers' coach Tortorella is annoying.

Whatever...we went down swinging like the poor, drunk uncle no one wanted at the party. Coyotes will be back even stronger next year once the sale goes through. I do find it amusing that the Kings are the last LA playoff team standing, though.

I dunno, I wouldn't be surprised if Brown sat for a game. I actually wish he was called on that play so that the NHL would say that the punishment was fitting instead of calling a Shanniban. since there wasn't a call on the ice, Brown could sit for a game.

If he sits for a game, expect Gagne to dress in game 1. he was recently cleared for full contact and has been practicing for a few weeks now. I'd love to see some of his SCF playoff magic coming off of an injury like he's done in Philly and it could be just the shot in the arm that the Kings feeble power play needs.

Kings are making me a very happy girl this year!!! GO KINGS GO!!!
