that's rad! Staples is a great place to see a game! maybe next time they'll give you more of a reason to celebrate.

Both times we've lost at home, it was to Dallas. ::shakes tiny fist at Jagr::

Just got back from the Sharks Ducks game. Had a blast. Corey Perry is such a bitch. At least this time he didn't sucker punch someone and promptly skate away so that a teammate could stand up for him. Hats off to Boyle for having had enough of Perry's nonsense and dropping the gloves. It must have felt great punching Perry in the head.

Also, earlier that game... I seriously don't understand why people still try and engage Clowe. 9 times out of 10 you will lose.

The Flames' Jarome Iginla got traded to Pittsburgh last night in exchange for a couple of young forwards and a first round draft pick. 16 years with the Flames but he deserves to go to a club where he can have a shot at the cup and retire.

I've always liked Iginla, good for him! there were rumors buzzing the last couple deadlines that Dean Lombardi was making a big push for Jarome. part of me wishes we grabbed him, but he really wouldn't fit into Dean's moneypuck system and Dean wouldn't give up the assets it would take. Surprised he only got that much of a return. calgary could have gotten more from someone else, but good on them for giving Jarome a chance to win.

Everyone in Calgary is incredibly supportive of the trade. We all love Iggy but we know he needs to finish his career on a stronger team that can get to the finals. I'm happy for him, and I think the Flames are ready for a new dynamic instead of always trying to build the front line around just one player.

Are you in Calgary, ThatGirl? I've said on the Kings forums but maybe not here so much- I typically get along well with Flames fans. I think you guys do a great job supporting your team when you invade our barn while keeping it fun. Unlike damn, whiny Vancouver fans.

Happy for Iginla here too. I really did not want him on the Kings but primary for the reasons scenicworld said. Not a good fit financially for us and still feel like we're in good position for another Cup run without any major changes or additions. Let him go wreak havoc in the east!

I've always had a soft spot for Calgary fans too, which is weird since the rivalry in the late 80's and early 90's was INTENSE. I'm hoping that heats up again with the newly formed Smythe division 2.0.

Yes, I'm a born and raised Calgarian, and have been a Flames fan since they came here when I was around 9. I think our cup run in 2004 and the "Red Mile" experience pretty much captured the spirit of our fandom and how we celebrate when our teams do well.

I'll be cheering for Iginla when the Penguins aren't playing against Calgary.

Also - the Flames won their Stanley Cup on my High School grad night. People brought little portable TV's in so we could watch at our tables. We came out of our dinner, and the celebration was in full swing in the street. We ran along the road in our fancy dresses and tuxedos, yelling and cheering and waving with all the fans. It was awesome.

There's talk about Kipper going to the Leafs too. Can't say I'm surprised about Bouwmeester but not happy about it.

Sharks have traded Clowe to the Rangers. He will be missed by teammates and fans alike, although we got great value out of the trade for a bottom-6 forward who hasn't scored a goal yet.

Iginla's hopes to play with Crosby and the Pens for the cup are dashed for the time being. Sidney is out of the lineup indefinitely. This is so disappointing.

I was really hoping that LA could hold home ice, but STL really came on strong there at the end. I'm kinda hoping for an all california second round (ANA/SJ) with the winner playing LA in the WCF

Stoked for the ANA-DET series obviously, but the toronto-boston series should be terrific. Unbiased thoughts on who will meet in the finals???

Here's a biased thought. The New York Islanders will meet the San Jose Sharks in the finals. Nabby vs. Niemi! I want this to happen.

Unbiased thought....Hawks vs Pens are the logical choice, but I'll go with the Canadiens vs Wild.

Indeed they did. I hope the Kings can say the same at the end of this series. Depends which team plays the rest of the series. The team that played the first 59.5 minutes or the team that played in OT.
